PAPER DOLLS
If you played with dress-up paper dolls while growing up, you probably remember how much
fun it was! From an adult (parent/teacher/therapist) perspective, we can also see how useful
this activity is for a child’s development.
Here are a few important skills that making paper dolls and playing with them can encourage:
• fine motor skills and scissor cutting practice
• creativity and art skills
• storytelling skills
It is also a simple and portable craft, and you can make as many copies as you want!
In order to make the dolls even more personalized, kids can colour the black-and-white
versions which are also available.
If they like playing with the dolls, you can find some additional clothes for them here.
HOW TO USE 1. Print the templates on sheets of card stock.
2. Cut the dolls from the pages with the base dolls. All costumes fit both boy and girl dolls.
3. Cut the clothes out, using scissors or a hobby knife.
PAPER DOLL OR MAGNETIC DOLL?
With this pack, you can make either a classic paper
doll with new layers attaching by paper tabs or a
magnetic doll to go on a fridge or magnetic board. In
order to make the doll magnetic, you can either print
it on special magnetic sheets OR print it on standard
paper and adhere little strips of magnetic tape to the
back.
You can see how the magnetic dolls are made on this
picture with the Anatomy Paper Dolls.

SANTA CLAUS’ COSTUME
CHRISTMAS ELF’S COSTUME
Santa Claus
USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia
On Christmas Eve, Santa Claus takes a
ride through the skies in a sleigh, carried
by nine flying reindeers. Then he slips
through the chimney into the houses
where good children live and leaves
presents for them.
Nowadays, everyone knows Santa
Claus, but he’s had a fair number of
predecessors. We can call them
Santa Claus’ grandfathers—Saint
Nicholas, Sinterklaas, and Father Frost.
Even when he officially appeared, there
were at first different opinions of how
Santa Claus should look. He used to wear
brown and green clothes, and there was
a strong conviction that Santa Claus is in
fact a gnome. In the past, it was also
believed that he made all the toys
himself, but later it became known that
he has a workshop of elf helpers. What
else do you know about Santa Claus?
Merry
Christmas!
