Clark, Josephine Brummel, and Kevin Ev-ans; thank you for your patience. However, he doubts he will ever find a way to truly thank Nathan Kreitzer, Mike Eglin, and Agatha Carubia, his vocal instructors throughout the past two years. It is in hopes of achieving a sliver of what these three have that he is continuing his studies in voice at UCLA next Fall (donations gladly accepted).
Brandon Thibeault attended California State University, Northridge for a Jazz Studies degree on drumset. He began playing drums when he was 4 years old. He grew up singing in Catholic church, and was the youngest cantor his parish ever employed (8 years old). He sang in choirs through high school (Notre Dame in Sherman Oaks and Westlake High in Westlake Village) and college (CSUN, SBCC). He currently plays drums for a progressive-hardcore punk band, Crying 4 Kafka (members include Robin Finke of NIN and Kevin Dippold of The Smashing Pumpkins), based out of Los Angeles. He is currently studying vocal performance with Nathan Kreitzer and is in his second year in the applied music program.
Allie was born and raised in Santa Barbara. She discovered her love of music while attending elementary school, and participated in the Santa Barbara Children’s choir and other choral groups. At Santa Barbara high school, she was a member of the Madrigals Singers and A Cappella Choir, directed by Phillip Mclendon, which included a Euro-pean tour, where they sang in ancient cathedrals throughout London, Cambridge, Chartres, and Paris. Allie has worked with Agatha Carubia for four years at The Music Academy of the West. She now studies music at Santa Barbara City College, and is a member of the college choir, and the Chamber singers, directed by Nathan Krietzer. In her time at city college, she has been a soloist for the choir, and has performed Bach’s Magnificat, as well as Vivaldi’s Magnificat and others. Allie is deeply grateful to be a part of the Applied Music program, and all the opportunities it offers.
Myron Aguilar has greatly enjoyed his time in the SBCC applied program. Throughout those two years he has reveled in performing with the Chancel Choir at the First Presbyterian Church of Santa Barbara, the College Choir, the Chamber Singers, and co-managing the SBCC Glee Club. He owes everything he knows to the music faculty, particularly Dr. Margaret Hontos, Dr. Linda Holland, Dr. John
