SANTUARIO ng mga KABATAANG NALIGAW ng LANDAS (SAKANAL), ASSOCIATION is an association of youth reformist registered with Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE,) It is composed of Out of School Youth (OSY) PROBLEM MAKERS of the society, HOUSE HELPERS, and MARKET LABORERS (kargadors) since elementary age.We became all of these because of extreme poverty at home, personal and family problems and bad life experiences encountered in the past. Some of us do not know or even have not seen our parents (fathers or mothers), others were given away by their parents to other people. Mothers tried to abort when we were still in our mothers womb and even tried to kill the unborn baby through suffocation when the abortion was not successful.Our SELF ESTEEM and SELF CONFIDENCE were very low and ...HATRED and REVENGE filled our hearts.When heard of the EDUCATION: A Journey Towards Freedom from Poverty for US, the Out of School Youth with Financial Disabilities of the Capiz NGO/PO Network for Enterprise Development (CapizNED), Inc., a Network of 52 NGO/PO in Capiz offering a FREE 2 - year course in IT and Computer Science (COM SCI), a course that gives ues opportunity to compete for employment or self employment in the global market, we personally approached CapizNED with the intent of availing the INFORMAL EDUCATION PROJECT...we were not only provided with this informal education but also with love, care and a sense of belongingness towards transformation which most of us desired.CapizNED supported us with a Hub for e-Library and IT facilities that SAKANAL become the service providers to each of us indigent youths. SAKANAL were also awarded with various engagements like service providers to DEPED, DSWD and various Local Government Units but due to Typhoon Yolanda, all our facilities and other assets were lashed out and vanish that curtailed our good intentionWe have been dreaming that someday, our typhoon damage e-Library and IT hum be restored through Repair the 16 out of 30 damaged computers, 3 printers and rent space for Hub, used to operate our e-Library and IT Hub , Extend technical services to at least 5% of the approximately 1,200 elementary school children of the public school in the City of Roxas, provide different technical services on a cost recovery scheme to other Non-Government Organizations, Peoples Organizations, Cooperatives and LGUs on areas of Proposal or Business Plan Preparations, Capability Building Trainings, Bookkeeping Services, and Marketing of locally made products produce from local materials
