Garbage/Trash Can Etiquette. Our clean and well-manicured neighborhood looks so much better when bins are hidden from view. Please get into the habit of keeping them out of sight from the street. As stated in Article V, Section 10 of our CCR’s:

“Garbage cans…shall be kept screened by adequate fencing or other aesthetically pleasing materials acceptable to the Architectural Control Committee so as to conceal the same from the view of adjacent lots and streets.”

Weed Prevention Ideas. To avoid major weed takeovers, spray or hoe small weeds for even 10 minutes every other day--it can make all the difference. Fortunately, pet-friendly and natural weed removal options now abound on the Internet. You can always ask a weed-free neighbor how they do it and give them a chance to share their secrets. By the way, Home Depot has Spectracide Weed and Grass Killer costing under $5 for a ready-to-use 32 oz. spray bottle.Valuable crime prevention tips! Officer Noah Dueker, of the Crime Prevention Unit/Chandler PD, shared important information at a recent board meeting. Did you know that 95% of auto break-ins could be prevented just by locking car doors? While police work on catching criminals, we can reduce criminals’ opportunities. For example, park your car in your garage, and keep the garage door closed and locked. If you must leave your vehicle outside, be sure to remove all valuables before locking it.

Avoid package theft around entryways. One way to prevent theft of Amazon packages is to have them delivered to a retail store. The Chase bank at 1155 S. Arizona Ave has a lock- box hub called Chase Bank Effia for Amazon deliveries. Simply specify Chase as the delivery point in your shipment instructions and you will be texted a package pick-up code.

"See something...say something.” It is vitally important to report crimes and suspicious activity! Use the Chandler PD non-emergency number (480-782-4130). They take calls and texts. It makes sense to add it to your phone’s contact list.
