    Annexure-A

    1. Automation of SOMS (Supply Order Monitoring System): The SOMS was created during thirdquarter of 2009 to have visibility of transaction from order placement to delivery amidst the

    growing volume. Developed a descriptive format and procedure for SOMS updation. During

    implementation, it was observed that the SOMS version had following limitations as it was a

    manual process.

    Delay in process Risk of Inaccurate / Incomplete data No structured way of alerts, hence tracking is difficult. Escalation of issues is not system driven and automatic.

    After consulting with my superior to overcome above obstacles, it was decided to automate the

    process so that the SOMS realizes its full potential. Developed the schema of the online SOMS.

    A system was programmed by ISD-HQ in coordination with ISD-SHJ. As technical member of the

    team, tested and provided key inputs / suggestions from time to time. Now the SOMS is in

    operations in UAE and appreciated by the operations team & end users. Getting regular

    feedbacks & suggestions from end users and 11 new features were developed since starting of

    its implementation.

    2. Terms & Conditions Standard terms & conditions and standard appendix to terms & conditions were developed for

    Project Supplies based on Client Terms & Conditions. This made the process of negotiating terms &

    conditions much simpler process than earlier and my manager appreciated the outcome. Ensured the last stage payment is kept outside L/C in majority of orders to have better control of

    invoking delay penalty for Bahrain & Kuwait orders (Eg: KUW JO/117-Telemetry Works-ALSTOM).

    Drafted product wise Terms & Conditions to reflect the key aspects of main contract for UAE C4 SASProject.

    Terms & Conditions negotiated & finalized with 5 new project supply vendors (Annx-B).3. Training & Development: Conducted awareness & customized training session for key stake

    holders of UAE & KUW operations on SOMS for implementation. Had a special interactive buy-in

    session with QAT operations who were keen to implement the system.
