Preface
South Asia is a region with multiple issues. Among those issues, we have poverty and high
unemployment rate,low-skilled labour supply is at peak, and very little or no effort is done to
eradicate this problem. The high supply of low-skilled labour is widely considered a weakness and
a liability for a country; they are looked at as extra mouth to feed and of little use.
However, this notion could also be wrong! These people could add value, and there could be
different ways of utilizing their skills. A team of entrepreneurs came together to convert this
weakness of South Asian countries into strength through a social enterprise named:
ForiMazdoori.
There is a good demand for these labours, indeed, everywhere across the world. But lets start from
Pakistan; little do we know where to find an electrician when our tube light one day decides to
stop working, or to find a servant when a working lady needs to hire one, or to find a mechanic
when all of a sudden our car breaks down in the middle of Islamabad Expressway.
Introduction: ForiMazdoori
ForiMazdoori is an entrepreneurship initiative in the form of Mobile Applications where anyone
with a Smartphone can register any labour he/she sees on the street or knows personally, through
this application. The person then uploads the data through the App and it will reach the data center
in the back-end, who will allow it to be available for public after verification of the data.
The data will consist of labours skills, location and contact information, and will be available on
the website (which will tentatively be www.forimazdoori.com.pk for Pakistan) for anyone who
has access to internet. The labour can also be accessed through an Employers App. This way,
Labour has a greater chance of being hired and more visibility to the employers. So it helps create
jobs as well, since theoretically, an employer might just give up hiring a labour if he does not have
access to labour (e.g. you might just give up trying to find out a mechanic to fix your car as you
are standing on the expressway, and try to use your own skills to fix your car)
Vision, Mission
Vision
To change the way labourers work in South Asia
Mission
ForiMazdoori aims to change the lives of millions of low skilled workers, by making their skills
and capabilities available to employers through using digital technology.
Business Model
ForiMazdoori serves as a channel through which labor workers is accessible to the ones who
require their services in return of a membership fee. It serves as a content provider in a sense that
it gathers immense information related to the workers including personal data, CNIC number, past
experience and also a developed video where the worker talks about his specialties and talk of the
areas where they can spontaneously provide their services and then via the online platforms which
serve similar to intermediaries this information can be accessed.
To further create trust and gain credibility these individuals are also asked to provide references
of experienced workers who are also part of the ForiMazdoori network. Information pertaining to
the workers is disclosed on the website where the members can access them, however the contact
information would be encrypted and can be accessed via entering the encrypted code in the server
through the website or mobile app.
Thus only premium members can freely access this contact information and the company can keep
track of the spending behavior of members. In this business model the consumers can make the
payment for membership via HBL which is available to all internet banking users and via cellular
money transfer methods such as Easy Paisa, Timepey etc.
On the contrary free members who are only allowed to access the services three times as a trial
will not be able to access the contact information after the expiry of the trial, the only method to
access the services would be to pay a spot on Fee to the service provider or via making a deposit
via internet banking or Easy Paisa and related cellular payment methods.
Through this model ForiMazdoori indirectly gains a primary relation with the consumers via its
online platforms and has some control over consumer data however it cant take control over the
transaction as the prices are negotiated between the provider and recipient of services outside the
domain of ForiMazdoori.
Partnerships
At the moment, company has no partners. We are proposing that the company has to partner with
PTA and NADRA and ILO in near future. NADRA will give them access to verify labours CNI
number, and PTA will give them access to a four digit code which will enable the labourers to
register themselves. We will explain later how it works in our suggested solutions for the company.
ILO can help in many ways, they have done a lot of research on labour, and the company is looking
forward to plan a pension plan for the low skilled labour with ILO Pakistan.
In future, the company should also partner with capacity building NGOs to train the labours and
build their capacity.
Primary Research:
1. Volunteerism
We developed a questionnaire on Google Drive1 to find out how many people were willing to
volunteer for registering the labour. The result was overwhelming! We received over 100
responses in a week, and we contacted those residing in Islamabad and Rawalpindi to show up for
a meeting. Every volunteer responded, and about 80 percent of them showed up for the meeting.
We discussed the vision of ForiMazdoori with them, and on then we went for a registration drive.
1Please refer to this link for the Google Form:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1OpzKZgmMirHvD1RoTj1aQ4g3kbqrAWG5ZHVo5N7RaHA/viewform
The response from the labour
was very encouraging; in one
day, we registered over 100
labour, who were setting on
street sides of Peshawar More
and Abpara Market.
All these results have
encouraged the initiators of ForiMazdoori to pursue this project and turn the idea into reality in
order to change the way labour works in South Asia.

2. Labour Demand
In order to understand the demand for our content, we developed a questionnaire2 and had people
between ages of 20 40 fill it out. The people who filled it out were based on Islamabad,
Rawalpindi, Sialkot and Peshawar.
How often do you get an electronic device broken down in your house?
According to the information gathered from general public through a questionnaire, a pie chart
has been created in order to give a clear idea about the views of the respondents. This chart
clearly indicates that 56 % of the people get an electronic device broken in their house once in a
year, followed by 7 % who claim that they face this problem once in 6 months and so on.
Around 31 % people have expressed a varied time series in which they face this problem and
most of it ranged from 6 to 9 months. This indirectly indicates that almost majority of the people
need the service to fix devices once in 6 months to 1 year.
How often do you need an electrician at home?

Do you have/need a servant at home?
According to the pie chart, 91 % respondents say that they need a servant. Only 9 % say that they
do not need a servant. Hence, it clearly indicates the high demand for servants in the country.
Hiring a servant is a very common practice in Pakistan in lower middle class, middle class and
upper middle class so this can be a right target market for our company if the company intends to
provide this service to the customers.

will fix it themselves and 10 % will ask their friends for help. As majority of the respondents will
call the mechanic, thus this indicates the high demand for the services of the mechanic.

respondents are of the view that it is beneficial to have the information of all the low-skilled
labor (at their consent) available for public. Only 13 % disagree. The reasons given by the
respondents for having this information are as follows:
Will be helpful in accessing them at the time of need
Hiring workers will be much easier
Different skills are required at different occasions
Convenience
Empower consumers to make the right decision
It will save time and extra hassle
Issues of reliability and trust will be solved
It will serve as a recruitment platform for labour
This platform will help the consumer to be sure regarding reliability and trust issues as
background checks would have been already made
Unnecessary fatigue will be avoided
According to view point of people, many problems will be solved by providing this
service.
The Companys Proposed Solution
ForiMazdoori addresses the issue through registering the labours and having their information
available to the employers. The registration is done by the volunteers who register the labour
through Labour Registration Application which inherently requires them to have a Smartphone.
The Labour Registration Application:
The Sign-Up/Long-in page
The application has an easy-to-use interface. Signing up is done by entering your telephone
number. The fact that telephone phone numbers are required for signing up intends to make it more
reliable. The registration is quick and NIC number is the pre-requisite for registering yourself on
the app, therefore, it is secure because the NIC is verified and since, NIC is an once-in-a-lifetime
number and thence, security- which is a major concern especially when it comes to everyone, has
been taken care of to an extent.
The Homepage
The topmost row shows your name on the extreme right
whereas the option of adding up labour is on the extreme left.
The row below that shows the total number of labour uploaded
and the videos of the labourers. The videos act as an actual
meeting taking place between the employer and the employees.
As soon as you open the app, it asks you for your GPS so that
it can locate you.
The Add Labour Option
When you press the add labour button on homepage, it requires you to register the labour,
whereby, you have the option of uploading a picture of the labourer or
recording his/her video. Regular things are asked such as their name,
address, CNIC, major jobs and areas of specialty etc. Phone number and
CNIC are mandatory and are important for the registration process. After
you have uploaded the labourer, some time is taken by the main server
to verify the details and while the labour is verified it stays in the
remaining section and as soon as it is verified it is officially uploaded
on the website and on the Employers App and people can access the profiles of the labour
through their PCs using the website, or through their Smart devices using the Employers App.
The Employers App
This App intends to give access to employers to labours information, which was uploaded through
the labour Registration App
The sign up process is the same for Labour Registration Application and the Employers
application. In the illustration below, you can see the process of signing up from left to right.
It starts off with a splash screen, followed by requiring your phone number and CNIC. Once you
verified your registration by entering the code, it then asks you to enter your personal information
or log-in through your Facebook.
Once you log in, you can see your profile (below, on the right) which includes your picture, name
and some other basic information which you may have entered about yourself, e.g. your profession
or your address. Under the preferences, you can save your preferences for the type of labour youd
require in your future searches. For example, you can check-mark Nearest labour, if you think
it will be more convenient for you to hire someone near you. Or you might choose newest as a
preference because you think the old ones might have already been hired. Then you click on the
save button in the bottom and your preferences will be saved.
Just below your name and basic information, there is an option register as a labour. This is an
option for those workers who have access to a Smartphone and register himself/herself as a labour
and not an employer. There are two reasons for having this option; one is that any educated person
with technical skills who would like to be hired based on his/her skills will be able to register
himself/herself. This way, more people will have the option to utilize their skills instead of sitting
at home. The second reason to this is, that this is where the company wants to see the future, where
every cook, mechanic, mason, painter, electrician and tailor in South Asia is educated and has
access to a Smart phone.
Search/Hire Workers
The picture on the left shows how to search for the labour. There are two options for searching the
labour; first, you type a key word (e.g. labours skill) and then click the search button. Or, you go
by the option search near me to get to know of labour that is near you. If you opt for the location
based search, you will be
directed towards a map
(powered by Google maps), and
will see the labour and their location. The picture below on the right shows how you will see the
labours near you.
But if you choose to type a key word and click on go, then you will get a list of workers (see
below, first picture from the left) matching the key word you have entered. The key word will
commonly be the skill of the labour.
When you click on a worker, you will be directed to his/her profile (second picture from the left).
When you click on hire, your Smart phone will dial the number of the labour.
You can also see the workers friends in the lower section of the labours profile. These the people
whom this worker has endorsed by giving his/her telephone number and/or other required
information. This option we believe is perhaps going to be a complicated process. We felt this
during labour registration on field as well.
Other Features
When you hire a worker, the App keeps a record of those. You may rate the worker you hired and
write comment about them. Also, you can add workers to your favorites list, or occasionally
delete them from favorites, in case you are not interested in them or their professions anymore.
The rating system and the comment section are extremely important. Rating establishes the
credibility of the labour and people will get to trust them more. Also, employers will be very
interested to know about the views of the previous employer about the worker, so the comment
box will play an important role.
The Website
The website is designed much like the Employers Application. The company has focused on
making their website more like an App, where it is more user-centered than company-centered. It
does have an About us section though, where it briefly tells the user what ForiMazdoori is about.
Our suggestion is that the company should to make this section only one line about the company,
which will be their tag line, and should will remove the about us part once they are able to
generate enough traffic, because by then, people will know who they are and what they do. A
detailed description might not be necessary. We will discuss in the next section how the company
can generate traffic.
The design we have shown below is just an idea of how they want our website to look like, or
rather, how the website will function. The final look might be quite different from this one.
They have their tag line we connect labourers looking for work, with those looking for help on
top left with the logo below it. There is also the register and log-in option. In the bottom, there is
the read about us tab, clicking on it results in the About us box popping up. Otherwise this
area is reserved for advertisements
When you click on the log in button, youll be required to enter your user name and password.
If youre not registered with ForiMazdoori already, then click on register and make and account.
The page will look something like following:
Once the registration/long-in is done, the user can search labour by profession and location, and
also chooses his/her preferences (for example: police verified) and then the user will get the results
of her/her search just like the ones in the left side of the page in the illustration below. Please note
that the police verified labours also have their CNIC partially visible to the searcher, to build their
confidence.
The same features which are available in the App, will be available here too. You can rate labours,
comment about them, add them to favorites or remove from favorites.
In the website, there is also an option of support us, this means that they are asking for donations,
because they are a social enterprise, and also they are asking for more volunteers to do most of the
work by downloading the labour registration app, and registeringlabours they see on the streets or
those they know personally.
The website has the option of Download the App in the bottom, which enables the volunteers
and patrons to download the labour registration application, or the employer application. It is kept
it in the Android format by default, and have given option of iOS as well, in case they do not
use Android. The company plans that as soon as it generates enough funds, it will also make the
app available for the Windows Mobile users as well
Analysis
Problems with the existing system
During the discussions above, we referred many times to our suggestions for particular
issues/sections. We now would like to talk about some key issues with the main operational
processes of the company.
The first problem is the extreme dependency on the volunteers. While it is good to keep positive
that people will do good work when they are on their own, our experience in the field registration
taught us that although the volunteers were really passionate about doing the good work, they
were not the same once the on-field registration was over everyone went to sleep. Nobody
registered any labour after that. This teaches us that the volunteers energy has to be channeled
and be driven by somebody else, and the system is not automated as the company has thought.
The second main problemwith operational processes is over-reliance on mobile commerce. In
fact, the whole process of labour registration is almost entirely dependent on smartphones and
Apps. While it is good to have futuristic visions, we also need to have a good analysis of what
the future will look like. The near future in Pakistan at large does not seem the age of mobile
commerce, because even web-based e-commerce is not matured in Pakistan. Therefore, we do
not believe this model is going to sustain, on its own.
The third problem is the option of labour registering themselves. This will bring them into direct
competition with companies like LinkedIn. We believe that the company has to focus on its
unique service type, focusing on niche market. Getting in direct competition with the giants may
not quite prove beneficial.
Another major problem we identified is that the company does not have a sustained revenue
stream. A social enterprise must not solely rely on donations, but should rather diversify its
revenue streams, in case one source of revenue fails, others remain unharmed, and the
companys operations are not stopped.
Proposed Solution and Business requirements to be
addressed by the solution:
Self-Registration
We believe a more sustainable way to continue operation, is labours registering themselves
through ordinary phones (not smartphones). This can go side by side with laboursbering registered
via volunteers.
With self-registration Labour can send their phone number to a four-digit number which we will
get accessed via Pakistan Telecommunication Authority. We randomly suggested 4249 for
ForiMazdoori, and later confirmed its availability. The labour can send their phone number to
4249. Once we receive their phone number, we can confirm their CNIC information through
NADRA, and they will be verified labours. Their information can be synchronized with the
information collected by volunteers via smartphones apps, and will then be uploaded on
ForiMazdoori platform and can be accessed on the website, and on the Employers App. This
will require changes in the current business processes and similarly technological changes will be
required.
The success of this type of registration highly depends on the companys credibility. If labours
perceive the ForiMazdoori initiative as valuable and think they can actually deliver something,
only then they will actually think of spending a couple of rupees registering themselves or their
friends.
For organizations revenue generation, we suggest generating traffic to website and charging a
membership fee. We will discuss this in detail.
GENERATING TRAFFIC
We believe generating traffic is important for company to remain operational. There are different
ways the traffic can be generated to ForiMazdoori website. And all of these ways together will
make the company a specialized portal.
One way is to make a short video about the labour. This video is not meant to advertise the labour,
nothing about his profession, work experience, etc. the video would rather contain a human
element highlighted in it. For example, the labour share the happiest moment in his life, or the
saddest, the most challenging, etc.
It could also be in form of a question asked from different labours and put together. For example:
what is the biggest lesson life has taught you? the question can be asked from different labours,
and their answers could be put together, to give different perspectives.
Again, the questions thrown at labour should only highlight a human aspect of him. A feeling, an
experience or a learning that any ordinary person can share. This way, it will create more empathy,
and that will not only generate traffic which is good for the company, but will also in our opinion
it turns the feeling of people about the labour, from pitying the labour class to respecting them.
It is also important that the videographer has to be a very passionate person, who loves making
videos and loves learning, and is friendly and sincere. This is a critical job, and doing it for the
sake of money will never be a success. He surely must be paid, but ForiMazdoori should be very
critical about who to hire for this wonderful job. The value can be created only if the person doing
the job is open enough and is able to make others open up to him.
Another way to generate traffic is through pictures. So we take a picture of a labour and put a little
story with it, much like what HONY (Humans of New York) does. Again, it has to be something
very different, something that makes it good enough to be featured. And of course the person doing
this should have qualities like making people comfortable and being open to learning.
We can sync the website to the social media accounts. So if a person is really interested, he/she
can click on read the fully story and be directed to the website.
A third way to generating traffic is publishing news! Any news related to labour. We need a
writer/journalist for this. In order for this strategy to be successful, the company will need to
constantly update the news and keep the audience engaged.
This way, the website will be more than just a search engine. It will be a specialized portal, on
labour. The structure will be just like yahoo, where it started with search engine and ended up
adding contents and attracting a lot of people to its website. Only difference is that yahoo attracts
general audience, but we would like to keep it a little more specialized by focusing the content on
labour issues.
Management, organization, and technology
For this solution to work its really important to optimize the relationship between technology,
organizations, and management. Technology is well explained above so following pages will
concentrate on the other two aspects. These concepts are discussed bellow.
REVENUE MODEL
When it comes down to business its all about generating revenues, even if the business is a non-
profit organization it still requires some amount of funds to remain operational and ultimately
become sustainable. For this very reason our group has come up with the idea of incorporating
two revenue models in the mainstream operations of ForiMazdoori, for them to be sustainable.
1. MEMBERSHIP FEE
The core philosophy behind ForiMazdoori is to bridge the gap between labour and those who
need help and thus a membership fee would be charged. A major resisting factor will be that in
Pakistan is that people dont trust online networks specially those who dont have any physical
outlet. So to handle that, there are three packages offered to customers.
Free Members
In this account, users can register freely and can hire labour workers for free up to a total
of 3 times and after the expiry of the trials if the users dont wish to opt for a premium
account and still wish to avail the services they can simply hire a worker but they have a
limited access to how many labours information/profile they can view, after that they have
to pay PKR.100 per view. We think viewing upto 10-15 labour per month will be a good
estimate, but we will get to estimate the actual requirement only once the company gets
into the reality and see the real behavior of people towards the service provided.
Gold Members
In the Golden Membership users have to pay a membership fee of PKR 1500 for availing
the membership for a period of 6 months in which they can hire labour for unlimited jobs.
These are the preferred members who would be provided services before the free members.
Platinum Members
The loyal members who seek long term commitment and access to services, for a fee of
PKR 2500 gain access to top rated workers for 1 year. Not only they get a prolonged access
to services, its ensured that these members get the worker at the appointed location and
deliver service with 2 hours of conformation of hiring.
2. ADVERTISEMENT
The data available on the website targets a niche market, and they are the people who will be
looking for low-skilled workers.
The company can advertise the products which will be of importance to these people. It may
advertise for construction equipment, for example, targeting the contractors who look for workers
to build their buildings. Or it can advertise clothing for those who look for tailors, as theyre people
who will be interested in buying clothes.
Human Resource
ForiMazdoori cannot sustain without engaging a lot people. but the core team is the most important
ones of all, because it is they who can turn this initiative into success or failure.
Since major part of how the system works is automated, it does not require as much human capital
as a manufacturing company, for example. However, the few employees who are needed play a
crucial part. Here is a break-down of what the company needs the human resource for and how to
distribute work assignment to them.
1. Technical staff: ForiMazdoori needs at least two developers to start with, for developing
and maintenance of the App. But for the suggested model, technical stuff will be needed to
make the 2G mobile commerce work, especially in terms of data processing and
synchronization
2. Marketing and promotion: The company will need a marketing team who will be looking
after how to manage our marketing activities and how to generate increased revenues.
Theyll also be doing the Research and Development.
3. Legal advisor: The company needs to be abiding with Labour laws and regulations
4. Communications Manager: to communicate to our partners and clients.
5. Verifier: ForiMazdoori need a person who can call the labour after they receive their phone
number which is sent to us by himself or someone who knows him via 4242, and verify
his/her data over the phone.
Gradually as the business grows, the company may need to get rid of the deployment team.
However, at this moment we cannot tell for sure if this will be practical or not. It will all depend
how the business will work in reality and how much the volunteerism will pick up, and to what
extent will the labour put their confidence in the company and actually use the SMS option. Also,
the human resource will be currently managed by the founders; as the founders hold the top
positions. However, it wont forever remain this way.
The growth of business will also require changes in the IT infrastructure, and the change in HR
system is a major part of it. Therefore, that would inevitably be changed in future.
Marketing
The Logo
The logo of ForiMazdoori is an illustration of
how the company connects labourers and
employers, as they both shake hand. Above
the logo, there is the name of the company in
Urdu and English. For any South Asian
country, the name of the logo will be spelled
in their alphabet. But the handshake part will
remain the same.
Generating Revenue
Marketing in case of ForiMazdoori is all about attracting people to the website and generating
traffic to ultimately generate revenue, we talked about this with great detail in how to generate
traffic and the revenue model parts.
With the suggested model, there is a lot of opportunity for advertisement. The advertisement can
take place through SMS. The SMS can be about new product promotions, which in this case will
be about further benefits to the labourers. Also, this could be a potential stream of revenue for the
company, the details of how exactly this can work, will only be revealed once the work in on the
ground and it depends a lot on the content of the texts for advertisement.
In addition, the promotional aspects discussed in how to generate traffic part emphasizes on the
human element in the labour. The company would like to position itself as looking at people as
dignified human beings who deserve help and not objects to be looked upon with pity.
Budget and Finance
Financial Projection for Year-1
The following table summarizes our projected budgeted costs for the first six months:
Cost Driver Amount per month Description
App Development (includes
back-end and infrastructure)
PKR. 105,000 (3*150,000) + (3*60,000)
= 450,000 + 180,000
630,0000
630,0000 6 = 105,000
Website PKR. 4167 PKR 25,000
Salaries PKR. 0 The founders wont be
seeking any source of income
yet
Rent PKR. 0 Founders are using the lower
portion of their house
Deployment costs PKR 10,000 Includes travelling
Miscellaneous Costs 15,000 Paper works, Company
registration, etc
Total Cost per month PKR.134,167
Total Cost in six months PKR. 805,002
The website is one-time expense and the company does not need to change it in the first six months.
In total it costs about PKR.25,000 to make a website like this one. We divided this fixed costs into
six months although it will be a one-time payment.
Now, the organization will not be able to earn revenues in the first 6 months (or according to our
estimation, for the first one year), but it does have an option of getting sponsored. ForiMazdooriare
already in touch with a few potential donors. Also, it can ask a person to sponsor one labour in
case it do not receive a good amount of sponsorship. For example, considering that they will
register 10,000 labour in six months, then they will incur a cost of PKR.80.54 (805,002 10,000
= 80.52) per labour. The company can ask individuals to sponsor one labourand cover their costs.
It can be done this in many ways, but one best way is to sell labour postcards.
The second 6 months is expected to go in a similar manner. Only difference will be less IT charges
and more deployment and miscellaneous costs. We have forecasted it as below:
Cost Driver Amount per month Description
App Development/
maintenance, debugging
PKR. 10,000 Usually it is part of the
package. But were being
cautious
Salaries PKR. 0 The founders wont be
seeking any source of income
yet
Rent PKR. 0 Founders are using the lower
portion of their house
Deployment costs PKR 100,000 Because volunteers will be
traveling to other cities (out of
ISB) for labour registration
Miscellaneous Costs PKR 25,000
Total Cost per month PKR.135,00
Total Cost in six months PKR. 810,000
We can see above that the charges in the second half of the first year is almost the same as the first
six months. There is more fixed IT costs in the first six months, and more Deployment variable
cost in the second half of the year.
Financial Projection for Year 2, 3, 4 and 5
We are expecting the company to start generating revenues and incurring different types of cost
from Year-2. This will be the time when people of the company will be dedicating our full time to
this project
The table in the next page summarizes our budgeted costs for the Year 2, 3, 4 and 5:
Cost Driver Amount per month Description
IT maintenance PKR. 40,000
Website maintenance PKR. 10,000
Salaries PKR. 300,000
Deployment costs PKR.0 Labour will register
themselves via 4242 and
volunteers will register them
through the registration app
Miscellaneous Costs 20,000
Total Cost per month PKR. 370,000
Total Cost per year PKR. 4,440,000
Total costs in year 2,3,4 & 5 PKR. 17,760,000
How to cover these costs? It hugely depends on how much traffic ForiMazdoori is able to generate.
It must be able to attract more than 3,000 people daily to the website, in order to generate enough
advertisement revenue. It can be done by not only relying on the Pakistani market, but also the
company has to register the labour in the entire South Asia. The digital way of doing business
supports the company to go internationally and makes their job much easier.
Recommendations for Future
In future, we would like the company to keep their focus on helping out the labour, and their core
strength will be the first mover advantage, and providing premium data. We also suggest for them
to move to a more comprehensive platform where any information about labour in general will be
available, so it will be a portal with focused content, attracting only those who are interested about
the labour.
Collaboration with ILO (International Labour organization) should play a critical part in
companys future success. We also suggest the company to move from simply providing the
information about the labour to building their capacity by connecting the non-profit organization
to these labourers, in order to provide them with trainings and other requirement. This will
complement the companys vision of changing the way labourers work
We believe that the partnership in general is going to be a key success factor for the company. We
discussed about the proposed partnership plan by us initially when we introduced the company.
A challenge is that ForiMazdoori is not really looking to engage in an activity where partnerships
are needed. The main reason for them is that they believe it is going to add to complications. We
however, think the case will be quite opposite, it will simplify a lot of things for them, especially
when the company grows in future, partnership will be inevitable.
Appendix
1. SWOT Analysis
Strengths
ForiMazdori offers its users round the clock and instant access to the pool of laborers who
can almost perform every desired task.
The project gives its user multiple platforms (Android App and Website) from where to
log in and request a laborer for their desired chore.
The user friendly interface automatically guides the user throughout the whole process.
The application deploys a laborer review system; this helps the future contractors to
ascertain about laborers skills from the existing user reviews.
The virtual existence of operations means that the business will have no fixed cost and such
expenses.
Weakness
Contracting People to work on repair works at home through an android application can
appear to be an absurd idea in Pakistan, since in our country people prefer to have their
things repaired or installed from the skilled laborers they know personally not virtually.
ForiMazdori relies on the internet availability, which shrinks the intended target market;
the avenues of operation can be a potential weakness for the project.
Opportunity
The expanding and increasing use of smart phones in South Asia offers an opportunity of
growth for the application and company. More users can download the app and recommend
it to others.
Provided the agency contracting system proves worthwhile for the laborers as well, these
laborers can help increase the number of registered skill worker pool on the website and
mobile application through the referral system.
To increase the market reach, ForiMazdori can market a toll free number, just like people
can order food via toll free home delivery numbers, the contractors can request a laborer
via phone call.
Threats
Although ForiMazdori would be acting as an agent between the parties but the
organizations repute will be threatened if the workers fail to perform the task contacted
for. Customers will associate the laborers with ForiMazdori and in turn stereotype
ForiMazdori for the poor service.
