    Nuclear Energy

Nuclear energy, since its discovery has been considered as a destructive

force. Many people feel that this energy will ultimately be the cause for destruction

of the planet. However there are people who feel that if used in the right way, this

energy can be harnessed to be used in medical and other fields. In this essay weshall first discuss the positives followed by negatives of nuclear energy.

Initially nuclear energy was discovered and developed for military purposes.

Later on this energy was used in many fields such as medicine to cure diseases. For

example, nuclear radiation is used to burn cancerous cells. lso nuclear energy is

used as alternate source for the ever diminishing fossil fuel reserves. Many

countries are using this energy for the production of electricity. !hus there are

    positives to this dreadful energy

"n the flip side all the uses of this energy are associated with high ris# of

radiation. For example the radiation accident in $ussia that turned a highly fertileand populous area into a deserted waste land. It is clear from the above that any

accidents caused during the use of this energy will be extremely ha%ardous. lso

the nuclear arms race has triggered every nation to use the nuclear energy to build

nuclear missiles. !hese missiles have the capability to wipe off the life on the

    planet.

From the above it is evident that the disadvantages of the nuclear energy

clearly outweigh the advantages. Hence the use of nuclear energy should be

prohibited and all the nations should wor# together for nuclear disarmament for the

safety of man#ind on this planet.

    Teachers becoming Obsolete

!oday, technology has become an integral part of life. It has drastically changed the

way things wor# in all professions and teaching profession is not an exception. &ith

the advent of the technology into the classrooms, many people have started to

believe that the day when teachers become obsolete is at the brim. However it is

refuted that the technology can replace a teacher. In this essay we shall discuss on

the advantages that a teacher has over technology.

Firstly, the motivation and discipline that a teacher imparts cannot be mimic#ed by

a computer. For example, a teacher can motivate a dull student by referring to

examples of great leaders who were once considered to be blac# sheep in

classrooms. In this way interest to study or become great can be spar#ed in the

student which cannot be done by a computer or a robot. !herefore a teacher's role

in shaping up the character of a student cannot be replaced by technology

(econdly, technology cannot cater to the individual needs of students in a

classroom as a teacher does. For example all the students in a classroom may not

be at the same level of intelligence and some students might need extra attention.

!his can be only achieved by teacher who can offer to help the each student

individually according to their needs. (uch care cannot be offered by technology as

it assumes everyone in the class to be at same level.

From the above it is clearly evident that the personal attention and vast experience

of a human cannot be replaced by technology. Hence the technological

advancements in the teaching field can only be used as aid offer up)to date

information but can never ta#e the position of human tutoring.

    Sportspersons Earn More

In the modern world talent is well rewarded in terms on how much a person earns.

!his is very true in case of sports and movie stars who shoot to fame in a short span

and earn higher than their counterparts in other professions .Many people believe

that it is unfair that high valued professions li#e doctors, lawyers earn less when

compared to such sports or movie stars. However it is refuted that sports or movie

persons earning more is one)sided. In this essay we shall focus on the short careers

spans of sportsman and how their income sources diminish after retirement.

Firstly, the fame and glit% in the life of a sportsman lasts only until they perform

well. "nce they start down the path of bad form all the glit% fades away and gloom

sets in. For example, the former Indian *ric#et captain (aurauv +anguly was

considered as greatest captain during -- / 0112. However as soon as the team

started to lose matches everyone critici%ed the captain and finally was stripped ofhis captaincy and eventually forced to retire. !hus it is evident that all the glory in a

    sportsman life is short lived.

(econdly, a sportsperson earns only until his retirement. fter retirement their

sources of income are less when compared to other professions. !his is evident from

the fact that sportsmen are less well educated and thus they cannot ta#e up 3obs

easily after retirement. Hence the more earnings in the initial stages get

compensated in the later stages of life.

From the above it is clearly evident that sportsman earning more than the other

profession is 3ustified due to fact that they have short span for earnings and retire atearly compared to other professions.

"pinions on food vary tremendously as does individual's culinary expertise. !here

are some people who prefer to eat at food 3oints or restaurants as opposed to eating

food at home. For me, I prefer to eat food at home that is a tastier and healthier. In

this essay we'll discuss how the food coo#ed at home is tastier and healthier.

Firstly, food prepared at home is far tastier than the food available at restaurants.&hile fixing food at home we can customi%e the recipe to our personal tastes. For

example, personally I li#e less fatty food. (o while ma#ing a dish I can choose to

have less oil to my li#ing. However at a restaurant this is not possible as they

prepare food with common taste. !hus, preparing food at home provides us with an

    option of personal taste.

(econdly, food made at home is healthier and hygienic when compared to that of

restaurants. t home, we could always prepare fresh and healthier food. "n the flip

side some restaurants prepare food with leftovers from other day which ma#es a

dish stale. !he food and beverage inspectors in my city often raid and shutdown

restaurants that serve such stale leftover food. For the above reason I feel moresafe and healthier to coo# food at home rather than dining out at a food 3oint.

In conclusion home food is tastier and healthier than food at restaurants. !hus I

choose to eat ma3ority of my food at home rather than at restaurant. I believe that

this lifestyle of mine will not change anytime sooner.

    Television Eucation Tool or NOT

In the modern world, television has become a ma3or source of entertainment in

every household. wide variety of programs are aired on the television which

include educational, political, spiritual, movies etc. Many people believe that

television is a powerful educational tool that can impart #nowledge while others findit 3ust to be nothing more than a mindless entertainment provider. In the following

essay we'll discuss on both sides of the argument to arrive at a conclusion.

First of all, the main purpose of television is to provide entertainment. However in

the guise of entertaining people, many channels are airing programs that promote

cruelty, hatred, violence and sex. For example, superhero series that are aired on

some channels show the protagonist fighting bad and 3umping over the rooftops

using his super powers. !he young viewers watching such shows are trying to enact

these stunts and are putting themselves in harm's way. !hus it is clear that the

programs aired on television can sometimes become dangerous.

"n the flip side, there are some programs which do try to impart #nowledge on the

viewers. !elevision channels li#e 6iscovery, National +eographic are the best

examples for channels that provide bounty of information on variety of sub3ects. For

instance, there is program that tries to unravel the mysteries of the 7ermuda

triangle. (uch programs provide information to such great detail that no other boo#

can offer. !hus it evident from above that some channels provide wealth of

#nowledge to its viewers that cannot be matched.

!o sum up, television offers both mindless entertainment and as well can provide

educational information, however the choice of choosing between the above lies in

the hands of a viewer. I personally find television as mere entertainment tool which

when utili%ed correctly, provides unlimited #nowledge.

!earning "oreign language at Small #ge $S NOT

Some experts believe that it is better for children to begin learning

a foreign language at primary school rather than secondary school. Do the

advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages? &ith the advent of

+lobali%ation the world has become one huge +lobal 8illage with no boundaries.

!his globali%ation has triggered the need for learning foreign languages to

communicate with people from other countries. (ome people believe that learning

foreign language at the initial stages has a greater advantage while others opine

differently. In the following essay we will discuss on the advantages of learning

foreign language at primary school followed by the disadvantages.

Firstly, the things9 sub3ects taught at primary school are remembered for long

time by the children. For example, the rhymes, formulae 5 morals learnt at the

primary school are remembered by pupils for their entire life. However people tend

to forget the formulae and lessons taught at secondary school. (o a foreign

language introduced to the children at primary school will be remembered for

longer time. !hus it is clear that learning foreign language at primary school has its

    advantages.

"n the flip side, students at primary school will have more sub3ects to learn.

!he sub3ects li#e mathematics, sciences and :nglish at primary school arefoundations to the advanced sub3ects that are introduced in the latter stages of the

education. (o students would have focus more on these sub3ects in order to excel

at these sub3ects in next stages of their education. Hence, introduction of foreign

language at primary school will be a deviation to the children from the other

important sub3ects. !hus from the above it is clear that the learning foreign

language at early stages of education has its disadvantages.

To conclude, it is clear from the above that the disadvantages of introducing

foreign language at primary school outweigh the advantages. It is agreed that these

foreign languages could be introduced at the secondary level for the greater good

    of children.

7eing a celebrity / such as famous film star or sports star / brings problems as well

6o you thin# being a celebrity brings more problems or more benefits

In the modern world, the popularity of the famous movie stars or sport starts

has increased by many folds. !hese celebrities are followed and loo#ed up to by

many people. However some people believe that the celebrities face more problems

than benefits because of the stature in the society, while others opine differently. In

this essay we shall discuss on benefits followed by problems that these starlets

    face.

Firstly, celebrities en3oy the adulation and respect of many people. 7ecause

of this admiration, advertisement agencies approach these stars with handsome

financial rewards to appear in their ads. For example, (hahru#h Ahan who is

considered as a super star in the film industry was recently approached by an

advertisement agencies with an offer of 01 million dollars for promotion of a beauty

product. !hus, the famous stars do receive huge sums of money for their popularity

among the people. !his shows that the celebrities do en3oy huge financial benefits

as the result of their reputation

"n the other hand, people are more interested in the lives of these renowned

stars. s such electronic and print media never miss an opportunity to get any

information about the lives of the celebrities. !his results in the celebrities losing

their privacy and sometimes their life. For example, ;rincess 6iana died in a car

crash in a tunnel while trying to avoid the media. !hus it is clear from the above

that privacy of people is invaded because of their celebrity status in the society.

!his clearly a huge problem that the superstars try to tac#le each and every day of

    their life.

In conclusion, as the life of a person is more important than other material

the effects of mobile phones on the studies and sociali%ation of young people.

Firstly, the cellular phones offer a wide variety of games which distract the

mobile phones will face difficulty in concentrating on studies and may eventually
