About The Book
W “Love does not grow on trees or it can not be brought
from the market, but if you want to be “LOVED" you
must first know how to give unconditional LOVE..”
The heart wants what it wants. There's no logic
to these things. You meet someone and you fall in love
and that's that.
Nobody can ever say that love happens only
once! And this love can happen at any age, anytime. But
that story has got nothing do with anything that the
modern world celebrates today.
Yes!!! Today the so called “Love” has
transformed a lot! Eye written statements of those earlier
days turned into letters and this current world has got
chatting, meeting, dating, pubs, parties, etc.
I have written this book to tell the people about
real love. And this is one such story! Not exactly a
story, it could be like a stolen life of a true love relation.
If you want to know the answer to it all, read the book.

Beginning
W Harsh is going through a lightly dense forest. Suddenly,
he stops by a sound coming from a distant falls. The
sound makes him feel thirsty and he tries to go towards
the sound. He is going and going and then he is stopped
by a magnificent view. There is a clear area in the middle
of the forest in front of a low mountain. The whole area
is covered by a very thick but soft grass. A number of
butterflies are roaming here and there. The water is
coming from a very high waterfall and water bubbles are
spreading everywhere, which is making the place very
cold. Harsh goes straight to the lake created by the falls
to drink some water. But when he reaches there, he finds
some white clothes are spread near the bank of a small
water body created by the falls. He ignores it and tries to
drink directly from the small lake. Suddenly, a young
girl in milkfish white cloth (which resembles her
complexion) emerges from the lake. Water is dipping
from her completely wet body and she is looking shyly
towards him. She is coming forward towards Harsh from
the middle of the lake and the looks on her eyes seems
very familiar to him. Slowly her complete body emerges
from the water and she looks out-of-the world. Now
Harsh can recognize her and a broad smile waves on his
face. She is coming closer, closer to him. So much closer
that water drops from her body are making him wet.

Suddenly a loud voice distracts them and forces them to
look towards the forest. And they freeze when they find
the source of that sound. Harsh wakes up with
drowsiness. He thinks of the first part of his dream,
which is so nice to remember that it makes him smile. It’s been one year, but whenever Harsh thinks of
that black day, something around his spine and in the pit
of his stomach shifts its place a bit. There had not been a
single day since she left that he had not thought about
her and felt hurt. It is like physical acne. He has to deal
with it every day… day after day… and it is getting
better. Time does lessen the pain but it never heals the
scar completely. It always remains there. Harsh tries
hard to run from it and he is successful at time … but
never completely. The more he laughs in a day, the
harder he cries at night, alone. It is a very personal
chapter of Harsh’s life, which he doesn’t want to discuss
with anyone.

24 November,
Tuesday, 8:30 A.M.
“Harsh! Harsh!” The sound wakes him up from his
dreams. Someone is calling him by his name. Harsh is
still lying in bed. When he opens his eyes, he can‟t
recognize what is happening. A hazy figure is
approaching and trying to say something. It takes a few
moments for him to understand what is going on and
who is calling him in the morning. His mother is
shouting towards him taking his name.
Although Harsh has got the placement, he has
not got the date of joining yet. As two months have
already been passed after his final year result is out, so
he is also tensed about his joining date. None of his
college friends have got their joining dates yet. In the
last two months his only work was to check his mailbox
for any news from the company. After ten minutes, he
opens his mailbox as a habit without having much hope.
But good news was waiting for him. He can see the
name of the company in his inbox where he had got a
placement, and his heart skips a beat in excitement. He
opens the mail and reads it again and again with full
details. A senior HR has sent him the mail. It says that
Harsh has to join the company from December, but not

in his hometown Chandigarh. He has to report to the
Delhi office on 15th December. Harsh is slightly
disappointed that he has to leave his hometown but gets
some relief that at least his date of joining has been
finalized.
14 December,
Sunday 7:30 A.M..
Harsh is finally checking his luggage so that he doesn‟t
miss anything important. He has packed one large trolley
bag. Chandigarh railway station is one and half hours
journey from his home and also he has to reach the
station an hour earlier for check-in. So he must hurry
now to catch the train on 7:30 p.m. When Harsh is
getting ready, he feels nostalgic for the city that he was
born and bought up. He doesn‟t have any idea when he
will be able to come to his home again. He looks around
the room for one last time and the memories of so many
things are coming to his mind. But his brother is calling
him from downstairs as the auto has already arrived,
which will take him to the railway station. He comes
downstairs with the luggage in hand.
I got a chance to go to Delhi for completing a
designer training. I remembered those days were of
winter months, but as I was going to another city my
mom had prepared me for everything. I took that big
heavy bag, got my mom‟s blessings by touching her feet,
and went out on my journey. It was not a very long
journey; it took only 4 hours to reach the destination.
When I reached the Hazrat Nizamuddin station, I saw
that it was not a very big station. There was lot of crowd

3
and even I had to wait a little to reach the main station
because I was not habitual to such a heavy crowd.
As I came out I saw that the atmosphere was
quiet different from that of my city. Taxi drivers grabbed
my hand and tried to take me to their taxis and were
fighting with each other. I thought was better to hire an
auto than a taxi, so I came out of the station and asked an
auto-rickshaw – “How much for Mayur Vihar Phase 2?”
He replied smirking – “Only Rs. 90/-, Sir.”
This was less than the 150/- asked by taxi
drivers.
I had taken a 2 BHK flat on sharing basis at
Mayur Vihar. Coaching was at Sector 5, Noida, where I
had to go by auto every day. I had heard a lot about the
famous monuments of Delhi such as Jama Masjid,
Qutub Minar, and Lal Quila. So whenever I got some
time, I went to see those monuments with my coaching
friends. These monuments were made during Mughal
Era by Mughal Emperor Akbar and his descendents. The
architecture and look of monuments were marvellous,
but one monument which I liked most was Lotous
Temple. Seven months had passed and rainy season had
started. I had now become used to the life of a metro; I
recognized many areas of Delhi and New Delhi. I had
travelled a lot by Metro train because it was comfortable
and cheap.

A beautiful girl is standing on the old road just opposite
her favourite food shop. Today she has worn a pitch
black jeans and a red T-shirt with black shades on it. Her
untied step-cut hair spreads all over her shoulder making
a stylish „V‟ shape on her backside. Suddenly a heavy
flow of air comes. Within a moment everything becomes
hazy in dust. Pieces of paper, leaves, and plastic packets
all are scattering here and there with the wind. Dust
particles are attacking mouths and eyes like needles. She
closes her eyes to save herself from dust. Suddenly rain
has also started. So she also has to run towards her
favourite food shop, till the rain ends. She looks outside.
Rain is washing the outside of the glass wall of the shop.
Harsh was alone in the house and was getting bored. He
had decided to go for a walk. He thought it would kill
his boredom and also he would get a chance to know the
locality. He locked the door and went outside in search
of some fresh air. After a random thirty minutes‟ walk
he had decided to come back. Suddenly he remembered
that there were no fruits in the room. So he had decided
to enter a store close to his house. This store‟s entrance
was very narrow, only the billing counter was there and
after that everyone had to move right side, which was
moderate in size. Actually the store was on the ground
floor of a flat so it needed that modification. When
Harsh entered the store the billing counter was crowded.

After passing the crowd when he just moved towards the
right he collided with something. In the next second, he
could see that he stood over a juice packet and the liquid
spilled all over the floor. Practically he had collided with
a girl and the shopping basket she was holding fell from
her hands. Burger packet, breads, soap, hair oil, face
cream spread all over and the juice spilled over them.
The black-eyed pretty face right in front of him was
looking at him resentfully. Everyone in the shop had
heard the sound and was looking at him. He was feeling
ashamed. Harsh wanted to become smart to get rid of
this unwanted situation. He quickly told, “Sorry! I‟m
extremely sorry. I couldn‟t notice you were also coming
from that direction.” The girl didn‟t say a word. She just
shook her shoulder annoyingly and left the shop without
buying anything and Harsh just took a packet of chips
and left the shop. The outing truly killed his boredom.
Six weeks has passed after that incident. At first,
I was enjoying the training but after some days I felt it
tiring. Also after going to home I had nothing to do.
One day when I was going to CCD from
Kashmiri Gate I saw her. That was like serendipity for
me; I rubbed my eyes and saw again. When she came
closer I became motionless. The girl wearing yellow tees
was the girl from that store with whom he had collided
with.
Oh my God! She was looking damn gorgeous,
just like a fairy tale queen. She was looking taller. She
had changed her hair style; now the hair were little
brown perhaps she would have coloured them. They
were all falling on her shoulders and were little curly.

She was wearing a long, round pink earrings, which
were looking alluring with her blue-white salwar–
kameez. I thought I would meet her and introduce
myself, but then I thought – “What would happen if she
would not recognize me?” So I planned to follow her
where she went. As I had a Metro pass, I didn‟t have to
worry where she would go; even I didn‟t see where she
was going and up to which station she had taken a ticket.
So I started following her. I followed her a little and then
she disappeared into the large crowd of Delhi. She even
saw me stealthily and I thought she knew that I was
following her. So I decided not to approach her
anymore. But my destiny had its own story to tell. One
day when I was standing at the market, somebody put
her hands on my shoulder and when I turned back, my
cold drink glass dropped in astonishment to saw that
beautiful girl was in front of me.
She asked me humbly, “Who are you?”
I replied, “Ahh…! Nobody.”
She again asked firmly, “So Mr. Nobody why
were you following me day before yesterday?”
I replied timidly, “Ah! Me? Sorry, I don‟t
remember.” I thought what she would think even she
didn‟t recognize me.
She again said, “No, I noticed you following me
after I left the Metro train.”
I felt very nervous and replied with a fumbling
voice, “N… No! I…. I was not following you.”
She again asked with a reverence, “Do I know
you?”

I shrugged and replied, “I don‟t think so.”
She said, “OK, doesn‟t matter.” Then she went
away and I thought that I had lost a great chance to
introduce myself.
I didn‟t think that I would again get a chance to
meet her. One day I went to my friend‟s sister marriage
with some of my friends. I don‟t like very loud sound
and crowd, but one of my friends forced me to attend the
marriage, so I went there wearing a blue jeans and white
shirt. But I didn‟t like the atmosphere too much because
of noise and crowd. I realize that each and everybody
including girls was drunk. I stood at the one corner of
the hall and started staring at the people dancing. But
that day came with a blessing for me because I saw a
baby-like doll standing in one corner. Her eyes were like
the eyes of the queen of a fairy tale, her hair were just
like a waterfall beneath her head, and the two curls of
hair were kissing her dimpled cheek just like a bee
kissing the flowers. She was looking perfect from every
angle.
After five minutes…
I thought that that was the first and last chance
to impress her. I hold my breath, and went near her
shivering. She was looking marvellous.
I went near her and asked with a fumbling voice,
“Excuse me.”
She saw me noticeably from toe to head and
said, “OK! You Nobody, what are you doing here?”

I replied in reverence, “Actually, my friend
forced me to come here. I don‟t like loud noise and
crowd, but as he is my best friend I have to come here.”
She said in a consent manner, “I also came here
in same situation. My friends forced me to come here.”

Ajay has to meet one of his cousins on Red Fort road.
Harsh casually asks him exactly where he is planning to
go.
“I have to go towards the yellow building. But I
don‟t exactly know the proper location bro.”
A confused Ajay tells.
“So you are heading towards my location.”
“You know where the building is?”
“Yes, its ten minutes walking distance from our
centre.”
“Is there a flyover?”
“Yes, after the building.”
“Good, I have to take the first right turn before
that flyover. Then I have to find my cousin‟s flat.”
“So you are going very close to our centre.”
“Then you should know the place better. Please
come with me yaar. You can guide me the direction and
also I will get some company. Don‟t worry I will leave
you exactly at your doorsteps afterwards.”
“Okay champ. Let‟s go.”
Harsh decides to go with Ajay. After crossing
the CCD they turn right towards their destination. Ajay
calls his cousin to know the proper direction. They go
straight and then take a left turn. Harsh has not come to

this road before. The first thing Harsh notices from a
distance is that two girls are standing in front of an
apartment building. Both of them are wearing casual tees
and jeans. One is wearing a white tee whereas the other
one is in red. When they come closer, he becomes
motionless. The yellow tees one is the same girl from
that store with whom he had collided with. He just
conceals his face to avoid the eye contact. But to his
astonishment, he sees that Ajay is going directly towards
them. Harsh is cursing himself for coming with Ajay. He
can‟t understand which one is Ajay‟s cousin. The girl in
white tees waves a hand towards Ajay. Ajay parks his
bike outside the gate and they walk towards them. From
their body language Harsh is relieved to understand that
the brown-eyed girl of that store is not his cousin. The
white tees girl utter the first words, “How are you Ajay.
We are meeting after a long.”
“Yes, Mehak. Almost two years,” Ajay tells.
“Yes. We have not met after I left Pune. By the
way, meet my best friend and also my roommate
Kavita,” she points towards the brown-eyed beauty.
They shake hands.
“And this is my friend, Harsh,” Ajay tells.
An embarrass Harsh can‟t understand what to
say. He just tells, “Hi Mehak. And I‟m sorry for that day
Kavita.”
“What! You people know each other?” Ajay and
Mehak both ask in surprise.
“No need to say sorry Harsh, it can happen to
anybody. Actually few days before, we had collided with
each other inside a shop, nothing more,” Kavita tells
