common types of food poisoning. It occurs when you swallow food or water that is contaminated with the salmonella bacteria. Any food can become contaminated if food preparation conditions and equipment are unsanitary.

by food poisoning but for animals can also be contracted through feces.

Effects of Salmonellosis

•stomach cramps with bloody diarrhea, chills, fever, vomiting, weakness, burning pains in the digestive tract and headaches with muscle soreness and sometimes joint pain. Rapid dehydration is a risk due to the loss of fluids.

Salmonella Wandsworth, a rare strain of Salmonella, most likely due to consumption of a product called Veggie Booty, which was recalled from distribution on June 28. This product is made by Robert’s American Gourmet Food, which has also recalled Super Veggie Tings Crunchy Corn Sticks because of possible contamination. As of July 3, there had been 57 reported cases in 18 states.
