Sally’s Easter Basket
Sally found so much candy on her Easter egg hunt. She was being nice and decided to share some of her candy with her brother and sister. She also ate some of her favorite candy, and threw away what she didn’t like.
Now she needs you to help her figure out how much candy she has after she shared, ate, and threw away some of her candy.
7 Jolly Ranchers
Sally counted 7 jolly ranchers. Sally loves apples, so she ate every green one she had . How many does she have left now?
12 Chocolate Eggs
Sally counted 12 chocolate eggs. She decided to share with her brother, so she gave him all the green eggs. How many chocolate eggs does she have now?
18 Jelly Beans
Sally counted 18 jelly beans. She doesn’t like the orange ones, so she threw them away. Now how many jelly beans does she have?
8 Laffy Taffy
Sally counted 8 laffy taffy. She gave her sister both the banana ones and ate one strawberry taffy. Now how many laffy taffy does she have?
11 Hershey Bars
Sally counted 11 Hershey bars. She loves chocolate, so she ate all the blue ones. Now how many does she have?
12 Starbursts
Sally counted 12 starbursts. She ate 2 pink, 1 orange, and 2 yellow starbursts. How many does she have now?
