Ms. Salk is one of the most caring people I have ever met. She goes above and beyond for students, and whoever ends up getting to have her as a teacher, and a co-worker, will be the luckiest people in the world. Her style of teaching is not only educational, but enjoyable. After leaving her class I was always in a happier mood. The Journalism Education Association, a national organization for scholastic journalism, annually awards $1,000 scholarships to outstanding future teachers. In 2010, Executive Director Kelly Furnas presented me with this award in Kansas City, Missouri.
