SCHOLARSHIPS

Freshman Admission For Transferees

The student is admitted to Xavier University High School after a process of screening: written examination, interview and an evaluation of academic records. Once admitted, XUHS has the responsibility to form and educate the student according to the ideals of Jesuit Education.

Scholarship is an award of financial aid given to deserving students. There are three (3) types of scholarship: Grant-in-Aid (GIA), Academic Excellence, and Athletic Scholarship.

1. Student-applicants will take the scheduled entrance examination.

2. Requirements: 2 sharpened pencils, snacks and a testing fee of P250.00.

3. After passing the examination, the applicant will be scheduled for an interview. Requirements: Report Card, Certificate of Moral Character and filled-up Application Form.

4. The student-applicant receives the Letter of Congratulations signifying acceptance to Xavier University High School.

GRANT-IN-AID

The Grant-in-Aid Scholarship seeks to assist students who are financially in need. These grants are good for four years renewed annually, depending on the financial need and satisfactory academic performance.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

Academic Excellence Scholarship is given to in-coming First Year graduated Valedictorians and/or Salutatorians. They are awarded full and half tuition scholarships respectively, provided they meet the provisions set by the Testing-Admissions-and-Scholarships’ C o m m i t t e e . S u b s e q u e n t l y, it is also being awarded to students manifesting superior performance within the academic school year.

ATHLETIC

Athletic Scholarship is awarded to students with exemplary performance in sports at the same time having the average academic grades.

Transferees for second and third years’ are accepted only if grades are Very Satisfactory, submits the Report Card and passed the entrance examination. Transferees for fourth year may be accepted on a case-to-case basis.
