The Southern tradition of service and quality extends further into the kitchen with two uniquely designed Thermo-Kool walk-in coolers and a Thermo- Kool walk-in freezer. Thermo-Kool’s flexibility in design and capability of manufacturing in 1” panel increments made it possible to accomplish the actual sizes and configurations so that the walk-ins fit the exact space available and maximization of storage space. Pictured is the L-shaped Thermo-Kool walk-in cooler preassembled at the Thermo-Kool factory as it awaits a thorough quality control inspection prior to shipment to ensure a trouble-free and quick installation with no hidden costs. A few of the features of the walk-ins included stucco galvanized interior walls and ceilings which combined with the LED light fixtures ensures maximum illumination; 1/8” aluminum treadplate floors with foamed-in-place interior ramps which comply with the latest NSF requirements and are an integral part of the walk-in floor and remote preassembled refrigeration systems with scroll compressors and EC motors for energy efficiency. Thermo-Kool Announces Promotion of Roney Moss Joins Thermo-Kool Thermo-Kool recently announced the hiring of Paul N. Moss as Accounting Manager. Moss is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration and a Masters degree in Business Administration. Moss’ 25-year career includes leadership roles in the areas of Management, Human Resources, and Accounting with organizations in the Banking, Manufacturing, and Engineering fields. Prior to joining Thermo-Kool, he was Comptroller with a Laurel-based design engineering firm. Moss is an active member of First United Methodist Church in Laurel and is the Board Chair of St. John’s Day School. He resides in Laurel with his wife, Rebecca, and daughter, Lauren. In January of 1989 he was promoted to Accounting Manager and then in 1998 he was elected Vice President and Comptroller where he served faithfully and diligently until just a few weeks before his death. Roney worked at Thermo-Kool from 1986 until 1998 as computer programmer and rejoined the company in August 2007, as Human Resources Director. In addition to her human resources role, Roney has contributed her time with the marketing functions of the blast chiller product line; planned, organized and executed the logistics of numerous trade shows; and most recently assumed the responsibility of transition management at the company’s comptroller office. In her new role, Roney will continue to lead human resources as well as to provide resources to sales, marketing, accounting and the overall office management functions. In announcing Roney’s promotion, Thermo-Kool President and CEO, Rand McLaughlin said, “The Thermo-Kool management team strives to be both mission focused and team oriented by contributing selflessly to each other to accomplish the mission. Melanie has exemplified this and has been an excellent role model for others to follow.” In 1983 Roney earned her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Technology from Copiah-Lincoln Jr. College, Wesson, Mississippi and in 1988 she received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
