Pastoral Message

The finance committee would like to keep you informed about our new capital campaign. We are trying to raise about $150,000 for three capital projects. 1) New lighting in the church: Cost: $12,000. We need to replace the old bal-lasts which are 20 years old. We will then be able to install new LED lighting. We want to get this done this year. 2) Repaving the park-ing lot: Cost $220,000-$230,000. We would like to do this the summer of 2019. 3) New roof for the gym: Cost $40,000-$45,000. We would like to get this done in 2020. We have approval from the Diocese for the projects, and to use $140,000-$150,000 from our en-dowment. Please make your pledges to the campaign as soon as possible. This will help us know how much money we will need to raise over the 3-years. You can use your monthly Arise Envelopes for this campaign, just as you did for the previous campaign. Payments can easily be made on line as well, by using the online payment method and selecting the ARISE CAMPAIGN category. The sooner pay-ments are made the sooner we can start our projects. Currently we have $42,629.00 dol-lars pledged, and $5,235.00 already collected. Thanks again for your support, The Finance Committee

Mensaje Pastoral

2) Repaving the parking lot: Costo $220,000- $230,000.

In our first reading from the Prophet Isaiah this weekend, God has a mes-sage for those who are fearful. “Be strong, fear not!” he says. God our Father always encourages us to trust in

Him and to not let fear get in the way of our mis-sion. At its core, fear is a sense of isolation. When we are afraid, ultimately we are feeling alone and helpless. It is through that fear that we lose our hope, and when our hope is gone we lose our peace as well. Without that interior peace, it is tough to the disciples that Jesus calls us to be. Therefore, we need to do our best to always be strong and fear not! God does not call us to be timid in our voca-tions, but rather to be courageous. Be bold in the way that you surrender your life to Jesus Christ. Hold nothing back! With your fearless heart, Jesus will be able to mold you into a true disciple and do great things in your life. Place all of your hope and trust in God, and see what incredible deeds He wants to work through you.
