Saint Patrick's Day (Irish: Lá Fhéile Pádraig) is a religious holiday celebrated internationally on17 March. It is named after Saint Patrick (c. AD 387–461), the most commonly recognised of thepatron saints of Ireland.

THE SHAMROCK

The Irish national emblem. It was used by Saint Patrick to illustrate the doctrine of the Trinity: God is three-in-one: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

THE LEPRECHAUM

An Irish fairy who looks like a small, old man about two feet tall. He's often dressed like a shoemaker, with a crooked hatand a leather apron. According to legends, leprechaums are aloof and unfriendly. They live alone and spend their time making shoes. They also have a hidden pot of gold coins.

POT OF GOLD COINS
