Prayer of the Immaculate Conception O God, who by the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, didst prepare a worthy dwelling place for thy Son, we beseech thee that, as by the foreseen death of this, thy Son, thou didst preserve her from all stain, so too thou wouldst permit us, purified through her inter-cession, to come unto thee. Through the same Lord Jesus Christ, thy Son, who livest and reignest with thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end. Amen

Giving Back to God

Thank you for your continued support!

Pre-School thru 2nd grade Children’s Liturgy / 11AM Mass Today in Children's Liturgy of the Word we asked the question “What was John the Baptist announcing and inviting people to do?” John the Baptist was telling people that the Kingdom of heaven was coming soon. Not only the Kingdom of heaven, but the Lord Himself! John invited people to get ready for the coming of the Kingdom of heaven. He told the people that when the Lord arrived He needed a path to travel on. John invited the people to make a path fit for a king. He told them that the path should be straight and smooth with nothing in the way. John the Baptist wasn’t just making the announcement for the people of his time, but also for us today. He is inviting us. Remember we are still in Advent, when we are preparing our hearts for the Lord. As part of our preparation, we can make a straight, smooth path for God. We can clear out all the obsta-cles by getting rid of the choices we make that hurt other peo-ple. We can fill in all the holes in the path with acts of love. This way we can get the road of our hearts ready for Jesus. This Wednesday, December 7th the Religious Education classes will be participating in an Adoration Prayer Service starting at 6:30pm in the Church. We would love to have you join us!

This Thursday, the Church celebrates the Feast of the Immacu-late Conception, which is a Holy Day of Obligation. The Immac-ulate Conception, according to the teaching of the Catholic Church was the conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the womb of her mother, Saint Anne. Mary was conceived naturally but God kept her soul immaculate, i.e. free from original sin.

For more information on any of these programs please contact our Director of Religious Education, Theresa Steffes at 677.3934 or 677.5065 or [email protected]
