Minimum Requirements for Teaching Faculty at Saint Mary’s: • Bachelor of Arts Degree in English or a closely related field • California Teaching Credential or Masters Degree in Education • Experience with constructivist teaching methodology and achievement-based assessment and grading • Ability to regularly employ appropriate educational technology in the classroom Responsibilities: • Excellent organizational and communication skills • Experience working with a wide variety of people • Experienced integrating appropriate technologies into students’ daily learning activities • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English • Ability to legally work in the United States (HIB and H2B Visa is not available) Preferred Qualifications • Bilingual • Experience working with high school students • Experience working in a Catholic school • Teaching experience is preferred • Catholic applicants are preferred Physical Requirements • Ability to lift 25 lbs. without help • Ability to look at a monitor for long periods of time • Ability to sit for long periods of time School Requirements • TB testing • Fingerprinting - Must not have felony convictions or other serious violations General Information: • Full-time, 10-month, permanent, exempt position • Eligible for full benefits • Work hours may vary (including some evening and weekend events) • This is not a telecommuting position
