• Reporting Delayed –

ACA Update

• Politics –

• For the 62nd time congress considered a repeal of the ACA.

For the 1st time the legislation was passed by both the

house and senate and was sent to the President, who

vetoed it.

• Presidential candidates have many opinions but few

alternatives to the ACA.

Open Enrollment Review and Discussion

Explore ways to leverage the HSA plan

• Better communication –Alex Decision Support tool had a total of 285 visits by 241 distinct users

• Tax/burden savings –

• HSA enrollment up 10% (30ees to 33ees)

• Total HSA dollars deferred up 100% (~ +$65,880 annually)

• FSA deferrals up 12% (~+$24,997 annually)

• DCRA deferrals up 16.4% (~ +$15,431 annually)

Studied by HR and EBAC in the spring of 2013 with both an interest survey and vendor presentations

In Fall 2015 EBAC agreed that another interest survey be conducted to update the previous results.

At the Holiday Party a partnership model was used with the Town of Moraga to support a one time event, but the take away from that experience are useful, relative to process, due diligence, and considering a wider array of alternatives.
