Help us to encourage and support them as they strive to become priests who are models of discipleship, possessors of wisdom and on fire with love for your people. We ask this through Christ our Lord. St. Mary’s Mother’s Day/Father’s Day PREGNANCY HELP Baby Bottle Drive! Supporting the drive will benefit HELP’s ministry in so many ways: Keeping them supplied with some of the most needed baby essentials such as pack-n-plays, diapers, wipes, formula, bottles, baby wash, lotion etc. They provide walk-in hours for free ul-trasounds for those who are abortion minded, this service has the cost of providing a qualified ultrasound tech on staff. Please pick up a Baby Bottle from the Narthex on Mother’s Day weekend and fill with your “extra change! Return Father’s Day Weekend. Thank You!
MEMORIAL DAY MASS: Fr. Ayub will be celebrating Mass outside at the altar in front of the cemetery (Bring a chair, weather permitting-otherwise it will be in the church) on Monday, May 29 at 8:00 AM. Please join us to pray for our beloved dead, especially those who were killed in the line of duty.
God of power and mercy, you destroy war and put down earthly pride. Banish violence from our midst and wipe away our tears, that we may all deserve to be called your sons and daughters. Keep in your mercy those men and women who have died in the cause of freedom and bring them safely into your kingdom of justice and peace. We ask this though Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Many Volunteer Opportunities Available If you can help full or part time, we have many ways to be involved to suit your schedule and interests. PLEASE NOTE: All VBS Volunteers need to be Virtus Certified. We are hosting a Virtus, Protecting God’s Children Class on Monday, June 5

Michael Looks and Family would like to THANK everyone for the hospital
visits, meals, cards and prayers. Also thank you Fr Ayub, Todd and The Knights of Colum-bus and anyone else I have forgotten. An Up-date on my condition is good. I have returned to my job just 3 months after this serious acci-dent.. I have no permanent injury. I am very thankful for all that has been done for me and my family.

St Mary’s will be hosting a Safe Environment Training (VIRTUS) Course! The Diocese requires all adult
volunteers who are engaged in programs that involve contact with children attend this Free course. If you want to volunteer in a Religious Ed Class, Youth Ministry, Mission Chaperone, Vacation Bible School, Children’s Liturgy, or any other program you will need to attend this course on Monday, June 5 at 7PM at our Parish Hall! STRENGTHENED IN FAITH: A Day of Jubilee for Fam-
ilies with Children, Youth or Adults with Disabilities or Special Needs! Saturday, June 24, 2017 / 1-6:30 p.m. (includes Mass & Dinner) at St. Robert Church, 6477 Ada Drive SE Don’t miss this opportunity for getting a little boost of faith and encouragement from other families who have children, youth or adults with disabilities or special needs! David and Mercedes Rizzo will give a presentation for parents, grandparents, and caregivers. They have four children, one of whom has a disability. Together they developed the “Adaptive First Eucharist Preparation Kit,” available from Loyola Press. Concurrently with the Rizzo’s presentation, children, youth, and adults with disabilities/special needs and their siblings will be able to participate in fun activities. All are invited to participate in Mass at 4:30 p.m. and pizza dinner immediately following Mass. Caregivers and those interested in volunteering to help parish caregivers: St. Mary’s and St. Michael’s is thor-oughly exploring initiation of a Caregiver Ministry to offer free relief breaks for caregivers in their parish. Lori's Voice Walk for the Challenged Saturday June 17, 2017 at the Berlin Raceway. Time: 9-11 am Registration at 8:30 am. Cost $15 for individuals, $40 for immediate families. Dear St. Michael's Parish Family, I am thrilled to be able to invite you to my upcoming ordi-nation to the priesthood. This long journey has been made possible in large part due to your support and prayers. I hope that some of you will be able to come to the ordination Mass on Saturday, June 3rd at 10 am at St. Andrew's Cathedral. I will also be celebrating Mass at St. Michael's the next morning, at the 9 am Mass. I am excited to be entering into this beautiful vocation of service and excited to be able to celebrate the occasion with you all. Please keep me in your prayers, Deacon Kyle Kilpatrick
COOPERSVILLE CARES, a local helping organization, will be
holding its "Annual Benefit Sale" on Friday, August 18th and Satur-day, August 19th at the Grace Lutheran Church - 300 E. Cleveland. Donations of good usable clothing, toys, furniture and house hold items will be needed. Please remember this sale and start collec-tion items that you will be willing to donate the week of the Sale.

Church Chuckle: At Sunday School they were teaching how
God created everything, including human beings. Little Johnny seemed especially intent when they told him how Eve was created out of one of Adam's ribs. Later in the week his mother noticed him lying down as though he were ill, and she said, 'Johnny, what is the matter?' Little Johnny responded, 'I have pain in my side. I think I'm going to have a wife.'
