Faith Families Supporting Each Other
S ome of us have had enormous challenges to bear in recent weeks, others are simply tired of being
cooped-up, and the rest of us are somewhere in-between. We lift up to the Lord each of you and our collaborative parishes in our personal prayers and as we celebrate Mass each day, and I know many of you are praying for each other as well. As we grapple with ways our parishes can minister and support our people in a time of no public Masses or gatherings, we are also appreciating in a new way how St. Martha Parish and St. Mary Parish have been able to strengthen one another in our “Collaborative”. Like so many of you are looking for ways to help your neighbors, relatives and friends through challenging times, our parishes have helped each other. By praying and working together, sharing many of our programs and our staff, we have helped both parishes to be on more solid foundations both spiritually and financially.
Many other parishes in our Archdiocese of Boston
are in less stable conditions as they entered this pan-demic, including some parish collaboratives. There are many factors involved, of course, but not all par-ishes have been as open to truly collaborating and working together like the people in our parishes have been. Sadly, a significant number of parishes are not sure they will be able to survive the pandemic and the resulting financial crisis. Several collabora-tives in other towns are seriously considering a merge into one new parish in order to better allocate their scarce resources to serve the needs of all the people they serve.
Thankfully, that is not the case here. While we
have our own challenges, our two parishes are in strong enough condition that Fr. Lambert and I can reaffirm our commitment to helping both of our parish’s communities strengthen one another in true collaboration. This will not be easy going forward, as we know many of our parishioners are experiencing new challenges of their own. Some have medical lim-itations that will make it harder to return to active in-volvement in parish life, and some have serious finan-cial hardships that will limit their ability to support their parish as much as they usually do. But thanks to the number of committed parishioners and benefac-tors, so far, our income has not dropped as dramati-cally as we feared.
~Fr. Joe
With the adept management of Bill Nash, our col-laborative Business Manager, and the guidance of our parishioners on each Parish Finance Council, our fi-nances were in good order before the crises hit, and we have money in our operational accounts to help us meet our immediate financial obligations.
Please pray for our parishes and for all parishes, especially those who are struggling to survive the pre-sent hardships. May the people of parishes that might be merged know they will continue to be ministered to by their newly formed parish, and that they will be loved and lifted up by the wider Church family, includ-ing the people of St. Martha Parish & St. Mary Parish.
Bible Study to Resume Online We are happy to report that Fr. Lambert's Bible Study will resume on line, starting on Friday, May 8 from 7:00 - 9:00pm.
This will be set up as a zoom meeting. If you would like to participate, please email Fr. Lambert at [email protected]. He will then send you an invita-tion to participate in the Bible Study Zoom Meeting. Fr. Lambert will continue with the Gospel of John, but it is not necessary that you have previously participat-ed. Each session will start with a movie and continue with a discussion of the movie, leaving time for prayer and reflection towards the end of the session. We hope you can participate as we continue to reach out in crea-tive ways to serve the parishioners of St. Martha Parish and St. Mary Parish.

Your Scheduled Mass Intentions Rest assured that every Mass intention you
have scheduled with our parishes is being offered by our priests throughout this pandemic. Whenever possible, one priest celebrates the Mass on the scheduled day. On weekends, if there are more in-tentions scheduled than actual Masses, some inten-tions are offered later that week (on an open day or by the concelebrating priest). To schedule future Mass intentions, please email or call your parish office.

Wrentham Knights of Columbus Grocery Pickup Service
The Wrentham Knights of Columbus is pleased to announce the Grocery pickup service for seniors and parishioners in the Wrentham and Plainville communities during the COVID-19 Pan-demic. • The Knights of Columbus will pick up your groceries and deliver safely to your door step. • Save 10% on your groceries using a Special discount code. • There is no additional cost for the delivery service, as the Knights are providing this charitable service to the
seniors and parishioners in need.
There are three (3) Easy Steps to the Grocery Delivery Service: 1. Setup a PeaPod Account. 2. Order your Groceries. 3. Contact the Knights of Columbus to arrange delivery during the following times: Saturday, 9am - 12pm and
Sunday, 4pm - 7pm.
Overall Process: 1. Parishioners, seniors and their families are requested to set up an account through Peapod for Stop & Shop at Milford. The Knights
would help set up the account for seniors who are unable to do so by themselves. 2. After placing the orders, the parishioners, seniors and their families send an email to the Knights at wrenthamkocgro-
[email protected] with the day and time of pickup, their phone number, and their address so that the groceries can be picked up and delivered.
3. Please contact Kelly Williams ([email protected], 508-361-0209) or Mark DeLorenzo
([email protected], 201-819-0931) if any parishioner or senior needs help in placing their orders.
Step 1. Setup a PeaPod Account (account setup is free)
1. For Smart Phone: Download a Peapod App: Go to the Apple Store or Google Play and search “Peapod”. You will find a “Peapod Delivery” App and download that to your phone. Open the App, select “Don’t Have an Account” if you do not have a Peapod ac-count, or sign-in with your email and password if you have one. If you selected “Don’t Have an Account,” Enter in your Zip Code and select “Home Customer.” Select “Start Shopping” and follow the procedures below in adding your name, email, password, etc. For Online: Go to Website: Stop & Shop Peapod: https://www.peapod.com/
2. Set Up an Account: On the Upper Right corner of the Peapod page, you will see an icon of the person and the word "Guest". Click on Guest, and go to "Create Account."
3. Enter Your Email address and a Password (must be at least 8 letters and numbers) and Click Continue. Write down your pass-
word to remember it. 4. Skip Credit Card: A box will come up asking for a credit card (optional). You can skip this for now and click the Continue button. 5. Enter Your First and Last Name, Home Address, and Phone. 6. Send Account: After you have entered your name, address and phone number, select "Start Shopping” and it will take you to the
Main Peapod page so you can begin shopping. The person icon on the top upper right will now show Your Name instead of "Guest". The Home Address will also appear on the upper right side in green so you know the signup was successful.

dering: Saturday, 9am to noon Sunday, 4pm to 7pm
Parish Collections When There is no Basket THANK YOU for continuing to support your parish!! We are very heartened by the number of people who have signed up for Online Giving or continued their regular parish donations in some other way - each parish received at least 50% of the regular Offertory over the past two weeks. Not everyone will be able to continue to do this, but many of us can. If you are not facing your own financial hardship, please continue your regular parish contributions in one of these ways: 1) Use our Online giving service which offers either recurring or one time donations, 2) Use your bank's bill payment service, 3) Submit your contributions by check through the mail, or, 4) Drop off your contributions: under the St. Martha sacristy door or in the St. Mary mail slot lo-cated next to the office door. Your Parish Family Thanks You!!
