BAPTISMAL PREPARATION-Any couple expecting the
birth of their child in the near future, who anticipates having
their child baptized at St. Mary’s or St. Paul’s will have to
schedule a meeting for a baptism To schedule at St. Mary’s
call 723-5383, to schedule for St. Paul’s call 722-6492.
The overwhelming generosity from the people of St.
Paul’s and St. Mary’s was again reflected in their response
to the Giving Tree. A total of $3,865.00 worth of gift cards
were donated to Catholic Charities to purchase Christmas
gifts for children.
IGNITE 2017– CATHOLIC MEN’S CONFERENCE
Diocese southern district kickoff event

St. Mary’s of the Assumption in Binghamton. (Recently
Renovated Basement)
Mass at 6:00 PM. Father Joe O’Connor will say mass at
6:00 PM. After mass there will be an informational Period
from 6:30 PM to 7:30 where Father will go over this year’s
conference.
This event is to provide guidance in coordinating the Parish
Captains/Teams that will be promoting this efforts at the
parishes. We want to discuss what works and ideas to
consider like Carpool/Van groups by parish members to
build community. Parish sponsor 50% scholarships for
registration for the first 10 or more people that sign up
during registration weekend. If you have any questions,
please call Rick Sanguinito at 607-222-3509.

MESSAGE TO THE FAITH COMMUNITY
The Broome County Martin Luther King, Jr Commission
invites you to participate in our Martin Luther King, Jr.
Community event, celebrating the legacy of Dr. King. The
celebration will take place on Monday, January 16, 2017.
If you would like to march, we will meet at 6:00pm at the
Martin Luther King Promenade located on Wall Street,
along the river (Binghamton NY). At 6:30pm we will
conclude with a service at Salvation Temple Church, 80
Main Street, Binghamton NY.
YOUNG ADULT trip to the March for Life:
Join other Young Adults in their 20s and 30s in standing up
for Life during our pilgrimage to Washington DC for the
annual March for Life!
Date: January 26-27. This trip will leave Thursday evening
and return Friday night. There will be pickups in Utica,
Syracuse, and Binghamton.
The $25 registration covers transportation, a Diocesan scarf,
and some meals. We will participate in Mass at the National
Basilica, celebrated by Bishop Cunningham, followed by
the March.

ST. PAUL’S FOOD PANTRY Is open the last Tuesday
of each month from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Donations are
always welcome. Suggested items: Tuna, Canned meat
and stews, Pasta and sauce, Canned ravioli, Spaghetti O’s,
Soup, Cereal, Canned fruit, canned vegetables, Saltine
crackers, Macaroni and cheese, Ramen noodles, Boxed
potatoes, Rice, Stuffing, Peanut butter and jelly. We could
also use toiletries.
Please do not give any condiments or expired food.
CHANGE FOR LIFE baby bottles will be at St. Mary’s
for pick up, starting January 15, 2017. Please return the
