Dear Parish Family Members,
Our church family is soon going to embark on one of the
most important and beautiful things we can do as a parish
community. I’m speaking of Journey of Faith. We call this
process “Journey of Faith” because we are inviting people who
may be interested in belonging to the Catholic Faith to “come
and see” if God is calling them to journey with us. Our process
is loosely modeled on the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
(RCIA), but streamlined and modified to fit our parish’s
particular circumstances. If you feel that God is calling you to
belong to our faith family, or if you are already Catholic and
are in need of one or more of the Sacraments (for ex.
Confirmation) then “come and see” and begin this journey of
faith with us. May God bless our Journey of Faith ministry
leaders, Lucy and Gilbert Escobar and Lindsey Howell. And
may He bless all who come forward in answer to His call.
Sincerely in Christ,
Time and Talent Spotlight
Did you know that we have around 120
students attend our Youth Faith Formation
classes (formerly known as CCE) every
Wednesday? Students range from preschoolers
all the way to high school students. Shepherding
and leading these children are 35 dedicated
faith formation teachers. Each week they
volunteer their talents and time to nurture and
instruct each and every student in their class.
With limited physical space available for a crowd
of this size, most of our students are taught
within our large, echoing worship space. Our
instructors show patience and leadership as
they teach their class just a few feet away from
other grade groups. Thank you to each and
every Youth Faith Formation teacher! You all
deserve our admiration and gratitude.
