Bulletin Reflection
During this time, let these words from today’s Gospel penetrate into our heart, “Do
not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me.”
Living Stewardship
Pillar of Prayer Jesus tells us to not let our hearts be
troubled. During this time, these words have so much meaning. God understands our sufferings and pains and He listens to our calls for help. So, during this time of pain,
suffering, fear and isolation, do not let your heart be troubled… call out to God and
seek His Love.

Mothers Somebody said that a child is carried in its mother's womb for nine months. Somebody does not know that a child is carried in its mother's heart forever. Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back to normal after you've had a baby. Somebody doesn't know that once you're a mother, normal is history. Somebody said you learn how to be a mother by instinct. Somebody never took a three-year-old shopping. Somebody said being a mother is boring. Somebody never rode in a car driven by a teenager with a driver's permit. Somebody said if you're a "good" mother, your child will "turn out good." Somebody thinks a child comes with directions and a guarantee. Somebody said "good" mothers never raise their voices. Somebody never came out the back door just in time to see her child hit a golf ball through the neighbor's kitchen window. Somebody said you don't need an education to be a mother. Somebody never helped a fourth grader with his math. Somebody said you can't love the fifth child as much as you love the first. Somebody doesn't have five children. Somebody said a mother can find all the answers to her child-rearing questions in the books. Somebody never had a child stuff beans up his nose. Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother is labor and delivery. Somebody never watched her "baby" get on the bus for the first day of kindergarten. Somebody said a mother can do her job with her eyes closed and one hand tied behind her back. Somebody never organized seven giggling Brownies to sell cookies. Somebody said a mother can stop worrying after her child gets married. Somebody doesn't know that marriage adds a new son or daughter-in-law to a mother's heartstrings. Somebody said a mother's job is done when her last child leaves home. Somebody never had grandchildren. Somebody said your mother knows you love her, so you don't need to tell her. Somebody isn't a mother.

Grandmothers
Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. The child asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?" God replied, "Among the angels, I'll choose one for you. Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you." The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy." God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you every day. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy." Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?" God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak." "And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?" God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray." "I've heard that on Earth there are bad people. Who will protect me?" God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life." "But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore." God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you." At that moment there was much peace in heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name." Her name is not important. You will simply call her "GRANDMA."

A Prayer to Combat the Coronavirus Pandemic Most Merciful and Triune God, We come to You in our weakness. We come to You in our fear.
We come to You with trust. For You alone are our hope. We place before You the disease present in our world. We turn to You in our time of need. Bring wisdom to doctors. Give
understanding to scientists. Endow caregivers with compassion and generosity. Bring healing to those who are ill.
Protect those who are most at risk. Give comfort to those who have lost a loved one. Welcome those who have died into Your Eternal Home. Stabilize our communities.
Unite us in our compassion. Remove all fear from our hearts. Fill us with confidence in Your care.
(mention your particular concerns and prayers now)
Jesus, I trust in You. Jesus, I trust in You. Jesus, I trust in You.
Amen.
Monthly Intentions and Development for Spiritual Adoption
May In the 3rd month of spiritual adoption, we pray for pro-life physicians to be readily available who will care for both mother and child as patients, and direct all medical actions toward safeguarding their lives and health, including those in high-risk pregnancies and the commonly termed "hard cases."
Your baby is making progress, developing all of his external features and internal organs. His brain is functioning at 40 days. His mother can hear his heartbeat now on an ultrasonic stethoscope. His milk-teeth buds are present at 6 1/2 weeks. From this moment onward, your spiritually adopted baby grows and refines his body. Everything he needs to survive once he is born already is present by the end of the eighth week. Please pray for him and his parents.
