SAINT ELIZABETH ANN SETON PARISH WELCOMES OUR NEW ADMINISTRATOR
FATHER PAUL TRINH
Dear friends of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton community, I am Father Paul Trinh. I was born into a Catholic family with five siblings, and raised in Saigon, Vietnam, during the war.
My father was an army captain fighting alongside American soldiers for the Republic of South Vietnam. When the Communists took over the country, my father was captured, put in prison camps for forced labor for many years. He was released in 1982, escaped the country as one of “the Boat People”, came to America as a political refugee, then, finally, sponsored the rest of my family here in 1992.
After surviving through many hardships for many years, we finally had a taste of freedom, faith and family together. Each of us continued to work hard for an education and a career. I graduated as a Biology Major in 1998, believe it or not, from UCI! I was given a choice between Dental School or Seminary. I chose Saint John’s Seminary, Camarillo, to become a priest and have served the Diocese of Orange for 14 years through several parishes—with my first assignment at Our Lady Queen of Angels and my most recent one at Saint Thomas More, Irvine.
It is with great joy and gratitude that I accepted my new assignment here at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton to serve as Administrator. I love celebrating the Sacraments and Traditions of the Church, as well as enjoy music, arts, sports and of course sharing the Word of God! I look forward to meeting each and everyone of you here at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton parish, and I pray that God bless us as we journey together in faith. Thank you for being a great people of God. In Christ, Father Paul Trinh
ARE YOU A REGISTERED MEMBER IN OUR PARISH?
Being a registered member of our Parish means that you have filled out a registration form and returned it to our Parish Office. The form is on page one of our Parish Bulletin, simply fill out your particulars.
Registration is very important and helps us plan for and fill the needs of our parish community. This is our basis to complete our Parish Data System. It is our reference for the sacraments that your family will receive and the mailings to update your involve-ment at SEAS.
With your membership, you will have the opportunity to donate online through our SEAS website, www.seasirvine.org or receive the offering envelopes on a bi-monthly basis. This will make it possible to provide you with a statement of your year’s donations, should you request it for tax purposes.
Also, if you have moved or have a new family member, please notify the Parish so that we can update your registration. Thank you.

"It was a great honor to be home to the Blessed Mother Mary statue and pray the Rosary as a family. There really is a deep peace that comes from it as well as a renewed sense of spiritual awakening. It was also great to get out of our comfort zones and put what really matters back in the focus. Such as the reality of hell, the importance of putting our trust in Jesus, and the need for penance and dedicated prayer time - no matter how busy we are."
-DeSantis Family
"We were blessed to have Mother Mary at our home for a week. It was extra special as it was the week of May 13th, feast of our Mother’s apparition in Fatima and also the week of Mother’s Day. Our family was able to spend time with our blessed Mother in prayer during her visit." -Kagoo Family

PRAYERS AND MEDITATIONS OF SAINT ELIZABETH ANN SETON
O Lord Jesus, how great is the merit of that blood which abundantly redeems the whole and would redeem a million mores and would redeem the demons themselves if they were capable of penitence and salvation as I am. Yes Lord, though Your thunders should crush me and a deluge overwhelm me, I will yet hope while You destroy my body You will save my soul.
