Reflections on the Gospel On this Sunday we take a brief detour from the Gospel of Mark to hear the story of how Jesus called his first disciples. Jesus as he asks prospective disciples, “What are you looking for?” Hear Jesus’s invitation to them to “come and see.” Think about what it means that Andrew claims from this brief encounter to have found the Messiah. What epiphany did he experience? What do you make of Jesus’s call to the disciples, “Follow me”? Have you ever heard him say that to you?
