FOURTEENTH SUNDAY IN
ORDINARY TIME
JULY 5, 2020
Jesus addresses us with comforting words today: “Come to me, all you who
labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” Let those words wash over us
and all the responsibilities we have, all the stresses we’re under, and all the fail-
ures that haunt us. “My yoke is easy,” Jesus assures us, “my burden light.” As
we gather together on this holiday weekend, let us rejoice in the freedom Jesus
offers us from our heavy burdens.

Consider what you can safely do to help others...
• Call the elderly and isolated

We are always grateful for your generous support and we hope that you will continue to financially give to our parish even though you may not be attending Mass due to circumstances relating to the coronavirus.
In order that the work of the Church may continue, we are asking that you continue to support our parish financially in any of the following ways:
1. Mail in your weekly envelopes
2. Mail a check
PLEASE REGISTER FOR FALL CLASSES!!
Our Faith Formation Online Registrations for the fall have been sent to families.
If you did not receive the registration, please call the Rectory and we will be sure that one is sent to you.
Please take a moment to check the information and send it in ASAP, so we will hopefully be ready to
start up again in September. It’s easy to do and only takes a
few minutes!
Thank you for your help.
3. Prayerfully consider continuing to give weekly via our Online Giving page. Use the URL or QR code on the right to quickly load the page.
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT ST. DENIS PARISH DURING THIS PANDEMIC. WE APPRECIATE AND DEPEND ON YOUR GENEROSITY.
We light this week’s Tabernacle Candle to pray for
the special intentions of: Abram & Fortier Families
The Sanctuary Candle is the candle next to the
Tabernacle, which signifies the real presence of Christ
within it.
GOSPEL EXPLORATION
TUESDAY ZOOM ENCOUNTER AT 6:30 pm
This is a multi-media journey through the Gospel Readings for the coming Sunday. Live discus-sions encourage a deeper understanding of our Gospel. Discussions can be joined and followed on ZOOM. Information on how to participate will be available on Facebook.
Grab your tea and join us.
HOLY HOUR & BENEDICTION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT The World needs our Communal Prayers—Join us on Wednesday Evening July 8 at 7 PM
Benediction is a great blessing for souls and for the honor of Jesus Christ who is Truly Present, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar.
This liturgy began in the 14th century, exposing the Blessed Sacrament for reverence and adoration. By the 16th century, blessing with the Sacred Host was added. We are all invited to share in this beautiful blessing as we join our prayers with one another.
Free Community Breakfast
The John 21 free community breakfast has resumed on Saturday mornings at St. Patrick’s Church Parish Center, 7 East Street, Whitinsville. Please come and pick up your cooked breakfast on Saturday mornings from 8:30am to 9:30am, and the food will be brought to your vehicle. We are offering curbside pick-up only. All are welcome! For more information, please call the rectory at 508-234-5656.
2020 Partners in Charity Appeal
We have reached about
65% of our Parish Goal
Once a year, we commit ourselves to this
ongoing work by supporting this life-giving
appeal. We reflect on God’s great generosity and respond with generous
giving of our own. With your support, faith in action is visible every day
in the compassionate outreach of Catholic Charities, to the least among
us; in prayerful witness of our retired priest and the joy of new priestly
vocations; to the many diocesan ministries and programs that heal, teach
and care for others.
It is important for all of us to participate in order to support our mission
as a diocese. Please be as generous as possible. If you have already made
a gift to the 2020 appeal we thank you! Your gift will help us in
reaching our parish goal.
Please make your gift online at: www.partners-charity.net You may also mail in your donation to us:
St. Denis Parish; 23 Manchaug St.; Douglas MA 01516; Att. Partners In Charity Appeal
On July 11 & 18, 13 students in
our 2nd Grade Faith Formation
Program will receive the Sacrament of
the Eucharist for the first time. Please
keep them in your prayers as they take
these final steps toward receiving the
Blessed Sacrament. May God Bless
them all!!
