Estimados feligreses,
Padre Grace
Twenty –Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time September 20, 2020

Dear Parishioners,
The shock of the workers who came early but got the same amount of pay with
the "latecomers" in the parable of today, can make us also raise our voices saying,
"That is not fair". Humanly, it doesn't make sense as we constantly fight for " just
wages" and for " equal work, equal pay" and emphasize the facts that "You get
what you deserve", "Nothing comes for free" and "If you want something work for
it"...
But the gospel is teaching us something different: all of us are invited into God's
kingdom, regardless of when we respond; that faith is measured by God's ways, keeping in mind that God's
generosity knows no limits, except if we freely choose not to embrace it. In fact God sent His son to come
and save us while we were sinners, and not for any good thing we did.
Our God is so merciful that He forgives us whenever we repent for our sins. He is a Father to all of us. He is a
friend even to "strangers". We are saved and justified by His grace. That is why when we study the lives of
saints, especially those we think lived saintly lives here on earth, we see they were constant in prayer,
acknowledging that there is always some room for improvement in our individual lives and in front the One
who enjoys the fullness of goodness.
Consequently, our faith teaches us that our place in God's kingdom is a gracious gift from Him, not so much
something we merit or deserve. It's a place where we are all collaborators, not competitors. What a joy it
should be if we can bring more sisters and brothers into the Lord's banquet, without taking any credit for
ourselves! TO GOD BE THE GLORY AND HONOR.
AMEN.
Fr. Grace

God-Centered Stewardship 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time
“So the last will be first and the first last”.
-Matthew 20:16
You’ve heard the saying “it’s not where you start, but how you finish.” This certainly applies to this
Bible passage. We have a responsibility to live Stewardship, not only for our own lives, but for the lives of others as well. We are called to generously share our gifts with others, not hoard them for our own use. Our sincere gratitude and cheerful gener-osity will help us live “God-centered” lives and not
“self-centered” lives.
20 de septiembre de 2020
25º domingo del Tiempo Ordinario
"Entonces los últimos serán los primeros y los primeros los últimos". - MATEO 20:16
