Weekly Offertory for October 14-15: $3491
This week’s second collection is for Mission Sunday
We need a minimum of $5,000 in weekly collections to cover our monthly expenses. As you can see, the church is being painted. It has been over 10 years since it was last painted. This is a significant expen- diture. Any donations towards the cost of painting the church will be appreciated. Fr. Prusaitis
WORLD MISSION SUNDAY This week’s second collection supports Catholic World Missions. By
Baptism, all Catholics are called to participate in the mission of the Church and share their faith as missionaries. World Mission Sunday
gathers support for the pastoral and evangelization programs and needs of more than 1,150 mission dioceses in Africa, Asia, the Pacific Islands,
and remote regions of Latin America. The funds gathered on World Missions Sunday are distributed in the pope’s name by the Society of
the Propagation of Faith - a Pontifical Mission Society.
Twenty-ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time St. Paul writes of his gratitude for the community at Thessalonica in the second reading today. He offers a prayer of thanksgiving for them re-
membering their works of faith and labors of love. His words of encour-agement kept the community engaged in the work of promoting the faith and strengthening their bond of love for one another. Take five minutes
each day this week to offer a prayer of thanksgiving for your parish community, praying that it will continue to grow in faith.
BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE Each November, we remember and pray for our beloved
deceased. We will again have the BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE in the Sanctuary during every Mass. Please submit names in
writing to the Parish Office with your donation and your phone number. Envelopes are available at the Church entrance and
can be mailed in or dropped into the collection basket.
