New Opportunity - You may have noticed the large

black cans located at the foot of the ramp from the lower parking lot and by the parking sign at the upper parking lot. These cans, and one placed in the Parish Center, may look like "garbage" cans, but they are not! They are placed at these three locations so that all of us can contrib-ute to care for our common home by recycling aluminum cans. We will also be helping Saint Bruno Church finan-cially. Here is how it works: Bring your empty aluminum cans to church on Saturday or Sunday each week. Depos-it them in one of the large black cans. Your Laudato Si! Team will cash them in and contribute the proceeds to the parish. The Laudato Si! Team has already contributed $30.00 from collection at the summer festival. Bring your empty cans next week and any week. Take care of the creation God so graciously gave us!

WEEKLY MASS SCHEDULE

Each year, this season of

Advent comes around. We bless

one candle each week in

Advent. Let us ask God to bless

our family on this First Sunday

of Advent:

God of new beginnings,

today we begin a new year in

our church

with the image of a wreath.

We ask you to bless our family.

Help us to see our family life as a wreath,

without a beginning and without an end.

As we light this one candle,

we recall how you have changed our family

since we last gathered around the Advent wreath.

Help us to be for others

what this family has been to us—

a helper in times of need

and a source of abundant blessings

to share with others.

We ask this through Christ,

who is the Alpha and Omega.

Amen.
