Match Report On Thursday 08 February we played a home match against Uffington Primary school. We played a brilliant game and managed to score some goals and because of our great team work we won 2-0. This week’s Man of the Match was Liam Knighton for scoring both goals and playing a great match.

Dress up for World Book Day – 1st March Get ready for World Book Day, when children are invited to dress as a ‘ comic book superhero’ of their own invention. There’s no need to spend a fortune – think about the superpowers you’d like and get creative during the half-term holiday. X-ray vision? Make pretend glasses from cardboard! The power to fly? Grab some ma-terial for a cape! Got a superhero name? Put your initials onto your chest! We’re promoting the fact that children can enjoy reading that comes in all different styles – and that includes comics and magazines too. On the day we’ll be enjoying lots of fun activities, such as making comics, designing superheroes, and coming up with action-packed language for our stories!

  • Children tell School Trust in Jesus! Putting trust in Jesus was the theme of Year 5/6's liturgy, which they held for the rest of the school on Tuesday morning. Children acted out the story of Jesus calming the storm on the lake, reading aloud in front of their audience, and making sure visuals and sound effects accompanied their mini-production. At the end, the whole school sang the hymn Do Not Be Afraid and each child was given a small prayer card to keep.

Giraffe Class are swimming next term for 10 weeks. First lesson will be on Friday 23 February and will run for 10 weeks. Cost is £20 for the term.
