St Augustine’s Catholic High School is looking to appoint a Specialist Leader of Education for Science. We are looking for an ambitious and outstanding teacher, who is a current Head of Science looking to take the next step on their career path and who has ambitions for Deputy Headship and beyond. This is an exciting time to be joining our school which is currently at an advanced stage of discussion to move to academy status. The successful candidate will:

Be a Science graduate with QTS Have evidence of outstanding practice as a classroom teacher Have a high level of successful examination outcomes at BTEC, GCSE, AS and A2 levels as a leader and as a teacher Have experience of the successful development of Teaching and Learning in a whole school capacity Have excellent subject knowledge and evidence of leadership challenge outcomes Have evidence of high calibre leadership of teams Have the experience, capacity and potential to be a SLE in a Teaching School Alliance Be completely supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school.
