Congratulations to newlyweds Manuel Betancourt and Giulianna Calvo, Marice-la Cabrera and Juan Luis Melo, and Ovidio Rivera and Rosario Rodas. May their love for God and for one an-other deepen every day.

In the second reading today, St. Paul reminds the Corinthians, “There are different gifts, but the same Spirit; there are different ministries, but the same Lord.” How am I using my gifts for the common good?

Please Remember in Your Prayers Anna DeBendictis and Joe Abraham of St. Lawrence who recently passed away. May they rest in peace.

The Second Collection next week is for our parish Debt Reduc-tion Fund. Your gifts to this Fund—over and above your regu-lar offerings for parish support—are helping us accelerate the retirement of our parish debt. Thank you for your good stew-ardship of St. Lawrence!

If you are traveling this summer, have fun, be safe and check out the local parish. Send us an email about what you liked or didn’t like. We really appreciate your input! I encourage you to be generous to the churches you attend while traveling. Summer is tough for churches, with so many members taking much needed vacations. There is a substantial downturn in giving. If you have not already done so, please consider sign-ing up at www.saintlaw.org for recurring giving. It’s fast, it’s simple, and it really helps us keep the lights on and programs going during the summer months.

Congratulations to Gordon and Louisa Wiles, who celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary! You are a beautiful sign to us of God’s generous and faithful love.

Our Faith Formation staff stands ready to partner with your family in fulfillment of your baptismal promises to bring your child up in our shared Catholic faith. Who Am I To Judge “I am not hurting anybody!” Does that phrase sound familiar. If so, join us on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. for 4 weeks starting June 1 in the Divine Mercy room to learn how Catholic morality is all about love, why making a judgment is not judging a person's soul, and why, in the words of Pope Francis, "relativism wounds people." Stephen Ministry: Our Stephen Minis-ters have been commissioned and are ready to be caregivers. What kind of man would receive the care of a Ste-phen Minister? A man like Paul who knew the unending distress of a thorn in the flesh and needed someone to rejoice when he rejoiced and to weep when he wept. What kind of a woman would receive the care of a Stephen Minister? A woman like Mary Magdalene who re-ceived healing from inner turmoil and needed someone to walk with her as she built a new life. If you would like to talk about receiving care, please call our re-ferral coordinator JoAnn Czerwinski 404.408.6318.

Pope Francis’ June Prayer Intention: That national leaders may firmly com-mit themselves to ending the arms trade, which victimizes so many inno-cent people.
