    ence! Includedpictures and

    games.

Make a newsletterthat highlights allthat your chapterhas to look for-ward to! Have

each board member includetheir goals for the term. Ask theSganit about programs the girls

should be looking forward to!Include convention dates, andexplain what each convention isfor the new, excited, and con-fused MITS. If at all possible, include a calendar for the term,or at least for the month. Aftera summer away from chapterevents, a newspaper will surely

When it comes to chapternews, there is a lot you can dowith it before fall term essen-

tially starts.Make a summerprogram recapnewsletter, andgive it out atthe first pro-gram of theyear! Ask eachgirl in your

In my opinion and from experi-

ence, the position of Safranit isso much fun. You get to bringout your creative side so much. While being Safranit is not themost important position, thereis still SO MUCH you can do totake full advantage of your posi-tion. You can either do nothingor make the most of being on

    board.

While it is way too early to betalking about making scrapbooksfor your Nsiah, there is still

tons you can do over the sum-mer to start your term off goingstrong! For those of yall goingto summer programs, take tonsof pictures. Even if youre not

going, ask girls in your chapter

that are attending if you coulduse them for whatever projectyou are going to do. At yourfirst business meeting of theterm, ask your Nsiah if you canshow a slideshow. Make one towrap up the summer and showyour chapter all that the girlsthat went to a summer programhave experienced! This is three-fold: it does some to recruitsummer programs for next sum-mer, make the girls that went a

little sad (after a summer pro-gram being sad means it wasamazing), and making the busi-

    ness meeting more exciting.

It is your choice of what you

do to start the term off with!

Please to feel free to ask me anyquestions as I am full of informa-

    tion to help!

quest to go green, send each girl ane-card on their birthdays. At the end of each month, bring in a cake for all thegirls b-days who are in

    that month.

Keeping girls quiet atmeetings can be tough.Come up with a cute wayto quiet down the girlslike coordinators at con-

Parliamentarians. Such a little posi-tion. SO MUCH YOU CAN DO!From birthdays, to keeping quiet atbusiness meetings, to spreadingsunshine throughout your chapter,

    the possibilities are endless.

At the first program, ask each girlto write down their birthday. Forthose girls who are not in atten-dance, send them a facebook mes-sage asking. To go with BBYOs

ventions do. Its a lot easier, nicer, and more fun than

    screaming shut up!

Lastly, spread a littlesunshine throughyour chapter. Do nicethings like bring incandy. Keep yourchapter spirited at allconventions and city

    wide programs.
