M/s. Dorf Ketal is very much glad to make this report that “The 41st National

Safety Day” in whole week was celebrated between 4th March to 10th March,2012 with full of enthusiasm with given theme of NSD. This is the report of celebration held for motivating and developing safety culture among employees of Dorf Ketal. Various Safety Competitions were arranged and all employees’ contract and company participated in various program. As community awareness safety training for neighboring unit was also organized by our HSE experts. Appreciations & awards to winners of various competitions was also distributed all our senior management witnessed and addressed closing function of this celebration. Our sincere thanks to Dorf Ketal management and all contract & company employees and our neighbors for sparing time and their active participation in the event of National Safety Day and made this celebration memorable. 1. Safety Badge distribution and Safety Pledge : National Safety Week celebration was started with distribution of safety badges to all our employees at security gate. The NSC Safety flag was hoisted and all the employees had taken a safety pledge near the flag post. Our VP Corporate HSE Mr. Vijay Bankar unfurls the flag and addressed the employees and given safety message, explained the employees about the importance of Safety and this celebration.

• Inter plant House Keeping competition was organized and Best performing department are awarded suitably.

• Points considered for evaluation are Housekeeping in plant area, safe conditions, spillages etc.

Date : 8th March, 2012 7. SAFETY QUIZ COMPETITION

• No. of Participants = 65 • Department wise team consisting of 3 members in a team was nominated by the

department head and they participated in the Quiz competition • Each group has given different questions as per lucky draw system. • Best performer group was awarded

Date : 9th March, 2012 8. SAFETY ESSAY COMPETITIONS

• No. of Participants = 34 • All contract & company employees are participate. • Language: Marathi, Hindi and English.

• Participant had filled in format supplied by HSE dept and written essay on subject provided by team members in seating in one room instantly.

• Best three entries will be awarded. • Points considered for evaluation are original work, based on work activities

related to Dorf Ketal, good safety practice.

9. Safety Training for Neighboring Industry:

• No. of Participants = 14 Date : 8th March, 2012 • Under the Responsible Care Program our HSE expert’s Mr.Vikas Patil and Mr.

Bharat Londhe organized a training program for neighboring industry called M/s. Namdev Silicates Address :

• Topics covered: Basic Chemical Exposures Three Routes of entry & their prevention techniques. Use of PPE’s. Practical use of Fire extinguishers. General handling of our product and related precautions. Other question answers related to their safe workings.

10. Chemical Leak sealing Systems and equipments Use Seminar:

• No. of Participants = 42 on Dated 14th March, 2012.

• Under the Responsible Care Program we had organized a Seminar on “Leak Sealing Systems” for TMA-Taloja Marg Association members.

• Participants from M/s.Vasudha chemicals, Resins and Plastics Ltd (RSPL), DFPCL, Deepak Nitrate & others participated in the program.

• Presentation and demonstration was given by Mr.Bhatnagar & Mr.Santosh of Brijbasi Fire Safety Equipments who has come from Delhi

11. Safety Skit Competition :

• No. of Participants = 22 • Safety skit competition was organized and there were four skits from our

departments had participated in their teams. • Each skit had given different messages which people enjoyed a lot.

12. Safety Equipment Exhibition:

All safety equipments exhibition was organized for employees and all employees had gone through the various safety equipments displayed.

13. Closing function of Safety Week Celebration:

• No. of Participants = 140 • National Safety Day and week celebration closing function was organized and

various prizes were distributed to all winner and consolation prizes for all participations.
