Safety Links was formed in 2003 because there was a need for a safety, health and environmental company that
would do business differently in Florida. While there were companies who offered safety training, provided
industrial hygiene services, and wrote safety programs, the level of customer service, responsiveness andoverall commitment to quality was lacking.
Now nearly a decade later, we have provided our innovative
safety, health and environmental solutions to thousands
of businesses, nonprot organizations, and governmental
entities throughout Florida and beyond. While we have been
very fortunate to progressively grow our customer list our
commitment to you has not changed.
As a Safety Partner you know that our customer service and
responsiveness is second to none. As a student you know that our unique training opportunities are unmatched. As a client of our safety coaching or industrial hygiene services you have experienced our commitment to
providing the most site-specic solutions.
Thinking about the lives that we have touched is a daily reminder of why we do safety. I am proud of the
results we have helped you achieve; the countless injuries that havent happened and the millions of dollars in
assets that have been saved.
Now, in 2011 and beyond, we continue our pledge to provide you with the knowledge, tools and expertise
you need to better manage and control safety within your organizations. Whether you are a current or a future
partner, I hope our innovative services, products and training opportunities described in this mini-catalogue can
help you achieve your safety goals.
Sincerely,
Trevor Reschny

Respirator Medicals and
Fit Testing
Respirator MedicalsTo ensure that wearing respiratory protection doesnt cause undue concern, OSHA requires you to provide a
medical evaluation to determine the employees ability to use a respirator, before the employee is t tested or
required to use the respirator in the workplace.
Safety Links can provide the required OSHA questionnaire to you and your staff and then have the
questionnaire reviewed by a Board Certied Occupational Physician. After the questionnaire has been reviewed
by the Physician we will provide you with a written document summarizing the physicians opinion.
Price per questionnaire review- $30/person
Respirator Fit Testing (Qualitative)OSHA requires you to ensure that all of your employees who use tight-tting
respirators (including ltering face pieces like N95) be t tested prior to initial
use, whenever a different respirator facepiece (size, style, model or make) is
used, and at least annually thereafter.
Qualitative t tests (QLFT) rely on your response to test agents such as
saccharin, bitrex, irritant smoke or banana oil. A QLFT, according to 29 CFR
1910.134(f)(6), must only be used to t test negative pressure air-purifying
respirators which are half mask respirators or below.
Price per test- $30/person
Respirator Fit Testing (Quantitative Test With Portacount)A quantitative t test (QNFT) means an assessment of the adequacy of
respirator t by numerically measuring the amount of leakage into the respirator.
A QNFT is necessary for respirators that must achieve a t factor of greater than
100. This includes a full face respirator, or an atmosphere-supplying respirator.
When possible Safety Links recommends using a QNFT for all t tests including
t tests for half mask respirators!
Price per test- $30/person
Employees must be t tested prior to initial use, whenever a different
respirator facepiece (size, style, model or make) is used, and at least an-
nually thereafter

customize a behavior based safety program based upon your needs.
Our approach varies and can include a site assessment, related documentation design, training for the

informally. As time passes a new safety culture will emerge.

federal and state regulations for regulated and non-regulated drug testing. When completed your company willqualify as a Florida Drug Free Workplace Program (FAC 440.102).

Health and Safety Committee Development and OversightA Health and Safety Committee involves participants in the implementation and monitoring of their safety
system. This simple involvement can create an employee driven process that will ultimately improve your
work environment. Safety Links will help by guiding the committee members with the development and
implementation of their safety programs in addition to overseeing their overall progress. Safety Links will
also work with your committee members to provide expert technical assistance and to ensure that their
recommendations are compliant and feasible.
Incident InvestigationToo often inexperienced and inuenced investigators overlook the true cause of incidents. For many high
potential incidents you cannot afford to have anything but an impartial investigator determining the incident
causation. To prevent recurrences of similar incidents the investigator must be able to nd all possible answers
to the question, why did the incident happen? Our impartial investigators do not have any vested interest in
the outcomes of the investigation and can therefore objectively nd the root causes.
Needs Assessment/ Gap AnalysisOur Needs Assessment/ Gap Analysis will provide a non-bias, nongovernmental assessment of your operations
to assist you in preparing a step-by-step plan for improvement. It is important to note that this service is not a
safety inspection. Instead your Safety Links Coach will tailor the assessment to identify key issues that requireattention.
Program Development and ImplementationBy listening carefully to your needs Safety Links will
tailor your written programs and documents to your
organization. Our philosophy is to keep it simple!
We develop user friendly guides that eliminate
interpretation. We know that the easier your system
is to follow the more likely it is to succeed. You will
nd that our Safety Coaches possess the technical
ability and versatility to ensure your systems are notonly based on proven health and safety principles,
but will also t in your organizations unique culture.
From a simple compliance document to a complex
Safety Management System, there is no project too
big or little for us to handle.
Safety Management AuditA useful tool to benchmark and ultimately
improve your internal safety operations is a Safety
Management Audit. An audit is a comprehensivereview of your health and safety management system
Our Safety Coaches are experienced safety auditors
who will use an audit instrument that is approved
for your industry. During the audit we will review your documentation, conduct interviews with your staff
and management, and will make general observations of your worksites. After the audit is completed you will
receive a comprehensive report with recommendations for continuous improvement.
