It is no secret that we think the world of our drivers. However, we also appreciate the talented indi- viduals on our support and administrative teams in the offices. Thus, we started the BEAST (Be A Super Trekker) recognition program. BEASTs are nominated for going above and beyond to help others while performing exceptional work. On the other hand, the person who submits the most nominations is recognized for being a FAN . It is no secret that we think the world of our drivers. However, we also appreciate the talented indi-

viduals on our support and administrative teams in the offices.

Thus, we started the BEAST (Be A Super Trekker) recognition program. BEASTs are nominated for

going above and beyond to help others while performing exceptional work. On the other hand, the

person who submits the most nominations is recognized for being a FAN. Here are June’s winners:

Vol. 1 Issue 5 July 31, 2016

Safety - First and Always

Safety is a main focus for Trekker’s family of companies.

Since this newsletter began, we have strived to cover at

least one Safety related topic every month. However, we

want to do more.

The “Safety Corner” will now be a fixed section in each

issue of The Trekker Trail. It will cover industry and com-

pany updates, as well as offer advice and tips to help you

be a better driver. Whether you are a rookie or an experi-

enced professional, we hope to provide information that

will be beneficial to you.

*Remember to keep up with your monthly Impact Training and

attend the Safety meeting every Friday at 9 a.m. CST.*

The Safety Corner

This month’s Safety tips are from Lester Lewis (Safety Training Supervisor). He manages

our Trainer/Trainee program and conducts road tests to ensure quality drivers are joining

the Henderson and Tennant teams. Equipped with years of trucking experience, he enjoys

helping new drivers improve. Have a question or want to speak with someone who under-

stands the challenges you are facing? Give Lester a call or drop by his desk the next time

you are in the Caseyville office.

The next time you are in the Caseyville Mainte-nance shop, pick up one of our “Pet on Board” stickers. Then stick it on the driver side window as shown in these pictures.

As one of only 50 IMCs that allow pets, we take the safety of your dog or cat very seriously.

In case of an emergency, this sticker could alert first responders that your furry companion is on board and needs rescue attention too!
