As every successful entrepreneur knows, human capital is the greatest asset of any business.

A dream team makes it possible to accomplish the business’s overall objectives, be more

productive and ultimately more profitable. But more importantly a great team in place frees the

business owner up to concentrate on further growth.

SAFAL’s vision is –To be Africa’s premier provider of coated steel coils for roofing and building

solutions. Every department needs to work towards this goal to assist the business in achieving

its vision.2. SMART Goals

Achievement depends on the underlying infrastructure of clearly defined and

realistic goals. Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Results-oriented and set within a

reasonable Time frame.

For 2015 our Goal is as simple as “Making a profit”

How to get there? SAVE SAVE SAVE! Implement ideas to ensure limited spend

with an effective return.

3. Rules of the Game and Action Plans

Define boundaries and areas of responsibility

Develop an action plan per department and outline clear KPI’s

4. Risk Taking

Business teams are like trees – they are either growing or dying. Without being open

to some degree of healthy risk, it’s impossible for a team to flourish and push the

limits of creativity and performance.

Nestled in the heart of Durban is the lively Mansell Road Traders

Market, where the Early Childhood Development Centre is located.

Realising the necessity and benefits to the community, a number of

generous donors partnered to support the refurbishment and prevent

closure of the school.

Qalakahle – meaning “The right start” is just that! It is the right start for

the children of Mansel road to get the right education in a clean and safe

environment. The education Centre has become a symbol of hope to the

community which was the message conveyed at the opening ceremony.

A modern yet simple environmental design was embraced using

COLORPLUS coils. The result was an aesthetically vibrant and

stimulating structure, optimizing wind direction and the material’s thermal

attributes negating the need for HVAC systems saving energy and cost.

Qalakahle Crèche was officially opened 15 April 2015 by the first lady

Mme Tobeka Madiba – Zuma.

Being part of this project demonstrated the SAFAL GROUP’s philosophy

of actively contributing to the communities in which we operate in and we

were privileged to support this initiative.

Philip and Eileen from Specifying Techniques – a marketing company to

building professionals have a passion for walking and conquering

Nature’s marvelous feats. They just recently conquered Mt Everest and

summited to Base camp.

SAFAL Steel is proud to have Specifying Techniques market our products

and to be associated with such a worthy cause.
