NBJK Lahan and Khairabad Eye Hospital Visit: 06th July and 19th August, 2011 The teams from Nav Bharat Janjagriti Kendra, Ranchi and Khairabad Eye Hospital, Kanpur visited SNC Chitrakoot for exposure. The purpose of visit was to get exposure on systems for high volume surgeries, developing specialty services and community outreach programs.
Industrial Screening Camp: 29th July, 2011 A comprehensive screening camp was organized at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) Plant at Orai, Uttar Pradesh. Total 256 employees got their eyes checked at camp site. The management and employees were very full of zeal with the camp and desired for conducting such camps regularly in HUL plants.

Eye donation Fortnight :25th Aug – 8th Sep, 2011 Eye Donation Awareness fortnight was celebrated from 25th August ‐ 8th September, 2011 to increase awareness amongst community regarding importance of eye donation through veracity of activities that includes; awareness rally, eye donation campaign through outreach and vision centers, slogans, essay & painting competitions in Sadguru Schools Refresher Training program for Govt. PMOA’s 25th, 26th, 27th batch of Para‐Medical Ophthalmic Assistants (PMOAs) underwent 6 days refresher training program during July to September months. Total 61 participants from Punjab, UP, Jharkhand and Bihar participated in training programs. The main purpose of the training programs is to orient the Government Para‐medical ophthalmic assistants on skills pertaining to primary eye care delivery and expose them to recent advances in ophthalmology at primary, secondary and tertiary care level.

24th Free Polio correction camp: 13th – 17th July, 2011
Jankikund Chikitsalaya organized 24th free polio correction camp between 13th–17th July 2011. A total of 624 patients registered their names on first day. Renowned Orthopedic surgeon Dr.H.K.Vakharia from Jamnagar, Gujarat performed successful surgery on 115 patients. Mahavir Viklang Seva Samiti, Kota, Rajasthan and Jankikund Chikitsalaya jointly organized the polio correction camp and distributed 254 Calipers in OPD.

Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust has organized Post‐surgery Caliper distribution camp on 17th September, 2011 at Jankikund Chikitsalaya. The aim of the program was to provide Free Calipers to physically challenged persons (who underwent surgery), under ADIP scheme of Government of India (GOI) with the support of Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti, Rajasthan. The chief guest of the program was Shri Vijay Kaushal ji Maharaj, a renowned Katha Spokesperson from
Vrindavan. On the occasion Dr. B.K.Jain, Director and Trustee, SSSST, appealed to community to join this national program for eliminating polio afflicted disability.115 calipers were distributed on the occasion.

Plastic Surgery Camp – 26th Sep, 2011 Jankikund Chikitsalaya organized free plastic surgery camp on 26th Sep, 2011. 29 patients got operated during the camp by renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Pawan Agrawal, Medical College, Jabalpur and his team.
Blood Donation camps at Jankikund Chikitsalaya Intended for the service of humanity, the Jankikund Chikitsalaya organized blood donation camps on the following listed dates. 13th – 17th July- Shree Gauri Vrat Mahotsav
The trust had organized 13th ‘Shree Gauri Vrat Mahotsav’ from 13th‐ 17th July at Prarthana Bhavan Hall. On this occasion 125 girls participated in the Mahotsav. Mahotsav came to an end with ‘Ratri Jagran’ in which number of cultural programs including Play, Solo dance and group dance were exhibited by the girls.

In continuation to the traditional celebration of ‘Gurupurnima Mahotsav’, SSSST celebrated the Mahotsav with the same spirit in the presence of Gurubhai and Sant Samaj. Shri Vishad P. Mafatlal did Guru Pujan on the occasion and Mahotsav concluded with the ‘Vishal Bhandara’.

Jhoola Mahotsava was celebrated by Sadguru Parivar in Raghuveer Mandir campus. Various scenes depicting Lord Rama & Krishna’s life were staged through Jhanki. The whole campus was decorated with lights and flowers.

Shree Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsav: 22nd August, 2011
The biggest Hindu religious festivals Krishna Janmashtami 2011 was celebrated on 22nd August, 2011 with full zeal and devotion by Sadguru Parivar at the Mandir campus. There is one more ceremony that is pleased on this day and it is Dahi Handi. Dahi Handi is a quite naughtiness that is played by Govindas all over the world. For this mischief people hang Dahi Handi very high. This Dahi Handi is kept full of butter. Govindas make squads and try to crash this Dahi Handi full of butter. In continuation to the tradition Ophthalmic Assistants of Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya crashed the Dahi Handi.
Bharat katha : 14th -19th Sep,2011 Under the aegis of SSSST, Raghuveer mandir trust has organized Bharat Katha between 14th ‐ 19th Sep, 2011. The Katha was delivered by Shri Vijay Kaushal ji Maharaj, a renowned katha spokesman from Vrindavan. On the occasion Gurubhais from Mumbai, Gujarat and Sadguru Parivar enjoyed listening. The Katha was based on Life and Character of Bharat.

World Population Day – 11th July, 2011 “Calling Attention to Urgent Global Issues” Each human being can be an asset, or a liability. Yet, with too many people, it becomes difficult to manage. World Population Day seeks to enhance awareness of people on various population issues like importance of family planning, including gender equality, human rights, poverty and maternal health. Director, IGNOU, Bhopal dated on 21st July 2011, on his speech he told about importance of Community College especially in rural community like Chitrakoot; Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has contributed significantly to the development of higher education in the country. Breast Feeding Week – 1st – 7th August 2011
“No Alternative to Breastfeeding for Child’s Health” Breastfeeding provides newborns with the nutrients they need for proper growth. WHO recommends exclusive breastfeeding until 6 months of age and continued breastfeeding with the addition of nutritious complementary foods for up to two years? On this week 3rd year nursing students organized health talk on exclusive breast feeding in Matritva Sadan, Jankikund Chikitsalaya.
Teacher’s Day Celebration: 5th September, 2011
Since 1962, 5th September has been celebrated as Teacher's Day in India. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakhrishnan was a philosopher and a teacher par excellence. Sadguru Shiksha Samiti celebrated ‘Teachers Day’ at Sadguru Auditorium. The program was celebrated between all the staff and students of educational institutions under Shiksha Samiti in the presence of Dr.B.K.Jain, Director and Trustee, Mrs.Usha Jain, President Sadguru Shiksha Samiti. 125 Teachers were honored by Dr. B.K.Jain on the day.

15th August, 2011 - 64th Independence Day Celebration
64th Independence Day was celebrated in Vidyadham School Campus. Dr. B.K.Jain hoisted the flag and took the salute of the ‘march past’. Children annual meet- 15th July, 2011
All the children who had undergone surgery for past three years were invited to attend the annual meet celebrated on the 15th July 2011 The function was organized in the presence of Shri N. B. Lohani as a chief guest and Smt. Bharti Ben. The motive behind this program was to create awareness about the prevention of blindness and the importance of follow‐up after surgery. During the program children were provided with free examination, free
spectacles, caps and lunch.
School screening program- July, 2011
During the month of July seven school screening camps were organized at different places of Dist. Guna and Vidisha in various schools. Nearly 8000 children were screened during this program. Children with refractive error were provided with free spectacles and those required surgical measure were referred to the base hospital.

A team from Sight saver international visited SSNC from 8th‐10th August, 2011. Team consists of. Dr. Asim Sil, Sr. Ophthalmologist, Vivekananda Mission Trust, W. Bengal, Mr. Ghanshayam Pandey, Sr. Ophthalmic Assistant, Gomabai Hospital, Neemuch, MP, Ms. Jayashree Kumar & Ms . Monu Ravindran from SSI. The purpose was to assess the procedure followed and to evaluate the process of monitoring at SSNC.
Visit of COSI organizing team: 25th-26th Nov, 2011
Community Ophthalmology society of India is organizing its 5th annual symposium on 25th‐26th Nov, 2011 at SSNC. Dr. Subodh Sinha, organizing secretary of COSI and Sr. Ophthalmologist of Venu eye institute along with his team member Mr. Jitendra visited SSNC. The purpose of their visit was to finalize the program schedule for the symposium.

Team from ORBIS consist of Dr. Rishi Raj Borah ,Sr. Program Manager and Mr. Golden Frankly visited SSNC from 29th ‐31st Aug, 2011.The objective of their visit was to review of finance and project information related to the ORBIS pediatric project (2007‐2011).
Visit of Chitrakoot team: 25th – 26th Sep, 2011
A team from chitrakoot consists of Shri Anand Sudhan ji and Shri Subramanyam ji visited SSNC, Anandpur on 25th and 26th Sep 2011 in line with capacity building program. They also took the visit to the vision centre of Ganj Basoda and Biora to evaluate the procedure followed in vision centres.

On the occasion of Gurupurnima on 15th July 2011 Sanskrit pathshala was inaugurated. Inauguration was done by Shri N. B. Lohani .In the presence of Smt. Bharti Ben, Ila ben and Gurubhais from different places. Tilak ceremony of admitted student was done by Ila ben.The pathshala was named as Shri Sadguru Vaid Vidhya Peeth. 64th Independence day celebration: 15th August, 2011 The 64th Independence Day was celebrated at the trust on 15th Aug 2011.The main function was organized at “Smt. Susheelaben Arvindbhai Mafatlal Hr. Sec. School.”The flag Hosting was done by Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra .Various cultural program were organized on the occasion by the school children.

Gurupurnima utsav: 15th July, 2011 Gurupurnima was celebrated on 15th July 2011. A special Pooja was performed by Shri N.B.Lohani at Gurumani,shri Ramdas Hanuman Mandir. Along with the staff members, Gurubhais from different places also participated in Pooja.
Jaya parvati vrat
Jaya parvati vrat was carried out at the Prathana Bhavan –Sadguru Nagar. Many girls participated in the vrat and pledge to continue the vrat for 5 years. On the last day of the vrat a special pooja was performed. Shri and Smt N.B.Lohani. Bharti ben, Ila Ben was present at the function.

Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust condoles passing away of Late Shri Ram Bhai.N. Gokani on 23rd July 2011. Ram Bhai was closely associated with developmental activities at the trust. He was always concerned about the welfare of the Trust. He was the person who dedicated his life following the instructions of Param Pujya Gurudev.In his passing away the trust has lost a personality who was always in touch with the grassroots of society.
Condolence was paid over by all the Sadguru family members on 23rd July in which members expressed their sorrowness towards loss of Shri Ram Bhai Gokani.
A huge ‘Bhandara’ was organized by the trust on the 13th day after the cremation, in which whole Sadhu Samaj, Distinguished citizens of Chitrakoot and Sadguru Parivar were invited on 7th August, 2011.

IV Vision Centre ` 500000.00 each In line with the Vision 2020 Plan of Action Sadguru plans to open Vision Centers in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan for delivering primary eye care services. V Polio Correction Camp ` 500000.00 Polio Correction camp is being organized every year about 300 children will be operated & about 300‐350 poor & needy patients will be benefited by providing crutches & other artificial equipments.
