FEAST OF IMMACULATE CONCEPTION This year the Feast of the Immaculate Concep on fall on a Sunday but is trans-ferred to Monday, December 9th, because the Second Sunday of Advent takes precedence.

There is no obliga on to a end Mass on Monday. We will have Mass at 8:00 am if you wish to a end that day.

In Our Parish...

Cel c Christmas Cantata Come enjoy the sounds of a Cel c Christmas by hearing the Choir debut its 1st Christmas Cantata called "Have You Heard." We will be singing the Cantata prior to the 11 pm Christmas Eve Mass, star ng around 10:20 pm. The story of Christmas will be woven throughout the music. It is sure to put you in the Christmas spirit.

On Sunday, December 8th @ 6:30 pm, an Advent Lessons and Carols Service, put on by the Robert E. Webber Ins tute for Wor-ship Studies, will take place at Grace Angli-can Church - 5804 Hwy. 17 in Fleming Is-

land. You can look forward to an evening of excellent music and readings that will help prepare you for the season of Advent and Christ's coming. There is no cost or

ckets needed to a end. There will be a freewill offering taken that night to benefit Waste Not Want Not. You will see some familiar faces par cipa ng. Free childcare will be provided during the service.

The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe will be celebrated on Thursday, December 12th, at 6:00 pm, at the Sacred Heart Church Green Cove Springs loca on. A er Mass is celebrated (en Español), there will be a presenta on of the story of Juan Diego and the Virgin. A recep on dinner, with music and entertain-ment, and a raffle will complete the even-ing. SACRED HEART’S COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN “Calling All Women of the Parish to Join Us”

Come and join us on Monday December 9th, for our annual Christmas Party Celebration in the Activity Center. We will start at 6 pm with a wonderful pot luck dinner. So, ladies bring out your favorite foods that you like to do for Christmas and join us. Set up and decorat-ing will happen from 5 – 6 pm. We will have our Santa Secret Surprise Auction (if you choose) please bring a wrapped NEW gift no more than $10.00 for Santa Secret Surprise. We will also have a Silent Auction and you will be able to bid on some won-derful items. Both of the special events are fundraisers to benefit the needy in our community. Also, please bring something for the Charles E. Bennett Elementary School project– unwrapped items such as: children’s socks, hats/stocking caps, gloves and scarves to be given to children in need. There will be opportunity during the party for those who want to attend the Advent Reconciliation at 7:00 pm in the church.

May the Spirit of Christmas and the Celebra-tion of Advent prepare our hearts for the coming of our Lord and Savior this Christmas Season.

Marriage Prepara on Marriage Prepara on: To schedule a wedding, an engaged couple must meet with their parish priest or dea-con at least eight months before their proposed wedding date. Prep-ara on for the sacrament includes a ending a dioc-esan program such as Engaged Encounter or Pre Cana. Also, couples of child-bearing age will need to take a full course of Natural Family Planning. Pre-registra on for each of these programs is mandato-ry. The next Engaged Encounter program will be February 7th -9th at Marywood Retreat Center. The next Pre Cana program will e February 29th in Jacksonville.
