SACRED ART EXHIBIT HALL of SANTA MARIA ASSUNTA PARISH CHURCH In February 2017 thanks to the engagement and the tenacity of Don Giovanni Tumiatti, parish priest of Buriano, the Sacred Art Hall was opened. In the parish premises are exposed sacred, artistic and faith objects and furnishings dating back to different historic periods representing the heritage as well as the evidence of the Christian history of this community. Among these objects and furnishings you can admire: thuribles, monstrances, reliquaries, ampullas, incense-boats and ancient chalices. The hall has been obtained in the premises along Via del Corso, in the past dwelling place of the nuns which for many years performed their educational work in the village and partially using S.Anna Chapel still existing for celebration of Mass during working days. This important project was carried out thanks to the painstaking work of Don Tumiatti during nearly 20 years and thanks to the strong support of the Municipality administration. It is meant to be a starting point of a greater work to highlight the area and the several demonstrations of faith and culture, richness of this territory which could become an interesting religious itinerary.
