POPE’S PRAYER INTENTIONS:

The Integrity of Justice. That those who administer justice may work with integrity, and that the injustice which prevails in the world may not have the last word.

(Our Lord’s words to St. Faustina) Diary 381. The heavenly Father will recognize and glorify our soul to the ex-tent that He sees in us resemblance to His Son. Diary 604.

Summer Programs at Star of the North:

Spirit of the Enneagram: Introduction to Sacred Psychology, Facilitated by Richard Groves 7:00 pm, Friday, August 9th to August 11th at 4:00 pm. Live in $395 (includes meals, accommodations and materials); Commute $295 (includes lunch and materials). The Spirit of the Enneagram will enable you to embrace your personal self-worth; deepen your sense of spiritual well-being; heal the wounds to the emotional self; reduce tension and anxiety in work and relationships; create a more peaceful and productive environment.

RCIA:

What does it stand for? Real Catholics In Action? Roman Catholic Insider Awareness? Not bad… but actually, it is the Rite of Chris-tian Initiation of Adults, the process by which adults (ages 18-118!) who are not baptized, or who are baptized non-Catholic Chris-tians, can explore in weekly group meetings what a personal rela-tionship with Jesus Christ can mean for them through the Catholic Church. If you, or someone you know, is interested in becoming a Catholic, please consider this invitation to explore that possibility. For more information, or to register in the “No Obligation” Inquiry sessions, Tuesday from 6:40—8:00 pm, beginning on September 17, 2019, please contact Marieta at: [email protected] or: 780-459-3694.

Alpha Program:

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions exploring our faith. Each session looks at a different ques-tion and is designed to create conversation. There’s no pressure and no charge. It’s just an open, informal and honest place to start encoun-

tering Jesus. This is not a catechesis program, but instead, it is a starting point on your faith journey. It will run from September—November on Thursday evenings from 6:15—8:15 pm. Dinner is provided. For more information or to register, please contact the parish office. 780-459-3694 or [email protected].

Music Ministry at Masses in July and August—Leaders of Song needed from the congregation!

Music at the weekend Masses in July and August will be the same as at weekday Masses in our parish—a Leader of Song to start off a well-known hymn at the beginning/Entrance, and another hymn at the end/Recessional. No parts of the Mass nor the Responsorial psalm to be sung. If an Adult Server asks before Mass for someone to choose the hymns and start them off, please be generous and volunteer to do so. The congregation will join in after a word or two as long as the songs are well known. Thank you!

Thank You! Many thanks to all our volunteers. May God Bless you! It is through people like you that Jesus shows His love for us. You are God’s grateful blessings. Thanks for all you have done. Thank God for you! Wishing you all a safe and blessed summer, Father Jozef and Parish staff

Office Summer Hours:

The office will be open from 9:30 am until 12:00 pm (noon). Starting July 2 until September 3. Enjoy this summer with your families!

FORMED:

FORMED has given us a deal on next year’s subscription. If you haven’t already, check out this amazing website. It is full of amaz-ing Catholic content for children, youth, adults and families. There is something for everyone!
