It is actually a good way for well decision making process and
procedures and can apply to corporate, international,
national and local governance, In Chhattisgarh state Good
Governance is imposed to conduct public affairs and manage
public resources.
Corporate Governance is a multidimensional issue, a major issue of Sable
Badiya. One aspect is providing fair returns to the owners / shareholders,
which is economic aspect that takes care of return on owners' / shareholders'
investments. Other aspects take care of other stake holders' expectations.
Government expects corporate to govern legally and ethically.
Society expects corporate to be socially responsible entity which takes
care of society and environment. Corporate governance is the
responsibility of the top management team headed by CEO. Board Of
Directors must oversee and ensure good corporate governance which
encompasses risk management, corporate ethics and corporate social
responsibility.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has praised
Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh for good governance in the state. The
Chhattisgarh's Public Distribution System (PDS) system is one of the
best in the country and is being touted as an example for other states.
The concept of Sable Badiya is the strong point behind progressive state of
Chhattisgarh. Since its evolution the growth of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh has
been the strong points. The state of Chhattisgarh being rich in natural resources
has easily sped ahead on the path of development.
The state of Chhattisgarh was awarded with Chhattisgarh government has
been selected for the prestigious National e-Governance Award (GOLD)
2014-15 for innovative use of geographic information technology.
The State's 'Geographic Information System' project, implemented through its IT
agency Chhattisgarh Infotech and Biotech Promotion Society (CHiPS) has bagged
the National e- Governance Award (GOLD). It was given the award under the
category 'Innovative use of GIS Technology in e-Governance' at the 18th National
Conference on e-Governance in Gandhinagar.
With the use of IT, government services will be provided at the citizen's doorstep
in a transparent manner. A GIS based web application has been developed for
PWD department and plotting and mapping of school in villages to be covered
under Rajiv Gandhi Shiksha Mission has also been done.
