OBJECTIVES
Facilitate continuous exposure of audience to the previous and recent developments taking place in political, economical, social, cultural, scientific and technological fields all over the world, to stimulate active awareness (democracy, good governance, human rights specially rights of women and children etc..) learning and positive behavior change resulting in gradual transformation of the society.
Keep the audience informed through portraying the actual state of the current affairs of Afghanistan and the regional and international developments.
Provide the audience attractive relevant TV programs on afghan arts, culture, literature and entertainment.
Provide smooth access to the TV programs for all afghans and others interested inside and out side the country by all possible means.

BRIEF HISTORYa) Saba TV: In late 2007 Saba Tv network started it’s testing broadcast programs.From 2008 it was developed and launched as a channel with 24 hours broadcasting in both official languages (Dari and Pashto) in five major cities of Afghanistan (Kabul, Mazar-e-Sharif, Heart, Kandahar and Jalalabad).
During the first quarter of 2009 a second channel with six hours of daily broadcast was added and Terinkoot of Orozgan province was also brought under the coverage of terrestrial broadcast network.
Major part of the rest of cities all over the country are receiving Saba Tv through local cable providers.
Saba channels are also available all over Afghanistan, the neighboring countries and wider region including middle east and central and south asia through satellite.
b) Telecasting Facilities: The facility is a point to multi point communication bridge which is able to support the open air shows to unlimited number of locations all over the country.
The telecasting takes place from Kabul through satellite up-link to all the locations intended.
The facility is effectively used for education, training and awareness programs with captive audience groups.
