As the original manufacturer of the aircraft, Saab has a unique, in-depth knowledge of the Saab 340 and Saab 2000 aircraft and we serve the global market with world-leading products, services and solutions for these aircraft.

It is our pronounced strategy to support and evolve our products to the varying needs of our opera-tors, making sure they will be able to continue carrying our operators’ passengers and cargo for many years to come. We are committed to ensuring the airworthiness of Saab aircraft in order to provide continuous safe operation and value to our customers.

The following pages will provide information regarding our technical support services.

1 Repair servicesThe following statement services are available to Saab 340 and Saab 2000 operators and repair stations. These OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) services will be provided in the form of a structural repair statement which involves repairs to the structure of the aircraft, or an engineer-ing statement which deals with support of all other engineering needs.

The OEM repairs issued by Saab are the only way to guarantee that the long-term characteristics such as the damage tolerant requirements of the aircraft are preserved. This ensures that the repaired aircraft continues to be covered by the MRB inspection program and will not require any kind of additional inspections resulting in additional labour and administrative expenses. This also ensure that the long-term value of your aircraft is sustained.

Using only OEM repairs assures that future changes to the maintenance program presented in the MRB Report can easily be applied to your aircraft without additional analysis. The structural repair statement and engineering statement service is only available during normal office hours, 07:30–16:30 (GMT+1 or GMT+2 when daylight saving time applies). For all Saab 340 and Saab 2000 operators worldwide on routine basis and for Structural Repair Statement we also have a 24 hour a day / 7 days a week service for AOG situations.

It is essential to always call the AOG phone (+46 13 185591) in order to assure that any AOG order will be handled in the quickest way possible.

Please note: • For a statement related to another OEM design, Saab may be dependent on their response.• Statement requests are always handled on As-Soon-As-Possible basis. • The lead-time for a routine request is based on the current workload.• AOG requests will be handled on AOG basis in a different queue. (For a statement related to another OEM design, Saab may be dependent on their response). AOG support outside of office hours is only available by calling the AOG phone, not by email.

1.1 AOG occurrenciesWhen a structural repair statement is requested on AOG basis the following pricing will apply. Each AOG request will be treated as a single event and invoiced per statement or revision. Saab will require a purchase order before initiating a statement in each specific event.

2 Engineering servicesSaab provides service with the technical content approved under the EASA DOA Part-21 approval (EASA.21J.066) for changes to Type design or as a supporting document as the Type Certificate Holder.

2.1 Supporting documents for MRBR task extensions/ escalations or lump programAs TC holder for Saab 340 and Saab 2000, we can provide operators with supporting documents for extensions/escalations of the MRBR.

By optimizing the maintenance program you will ensure the most effective operation of your aircraft and also establish the lowest possible Direct Maintenance Cost (DMC) with possible cost savings up to 50% related to inspection and man-power, by escalating the maintenance task interval and increase aircraft availability.

Using Saab, the Type Certificate Holder supporting documents for the extension of the aircraft maintenance inspection interval not only gives you the experience of the Type Certificate Holder, but also most likely a more substantial application to the local authority.

The Low Utilization Maintenance Program “LUMP” is recommended to operators with an aircraft flight hour utilization of 1000 FH per year or less. The basic LUMP is provided as a general docu-ment for the world fleet wide operation, but may be customized to the specific operation and environmental condition for each specific customer where Saab can support an escalation/opti-mization of the intervals.

Together with the PO, the operator should send in a detailed description. The description needs to state the aircraft serial number, type of fault and a detailed description of the failure. The description should also state, in chronological order, what actions have been carried out so far (including part number and serial number of replaced parts). It should also include all available data such as pilot report, DFDR data, MDC data, etc.
