MAJOR INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCEON WATER DISINFECTION

The First International Conference on the Safety ofWater Disinfection: Balancing Chemical and MicrobialRisks will be held in Washington, D.C., 31 August to 3September 1992. A distinguished group of internationalexperts will review the current science on the potentialhealth risks of exposure to chemical byproducts of waterdisinfection processes compared with those from micro-bial contamination of drinking water. The conference issponsored by the International Life Sciences Institute(ILSI), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S.Food and Drug Administration, Pan Amerncan HealthOrganization, World Health Organization, and Ameri-can Water Works Association. -HUMAN E

The Broadest Spectrum ofPremium Quality CytokinesThe cytokine laboratories of R&D Systems provide the most extensive line of both naturaland recombinant cytokines. Each protein carries the following assurances:

Superior QualityEach cytokine is produced and extensivelytested in the laboratories of R&D Systems, ensuring extremely high and consistent quality.

Full Biological ActivityThe biological activity of each cytokine isdetermined by bioassay. A description of theappropriate bioassay and the typical ED50 rangeis included in each package insert.

Highest PurityAll are greater than 97% pure, as determinedby N-terminus analysis as well as SDS-PAGEvisualized by silver stain.

Additional ReagentsR&D Systems produces over 250 cytokinerelated reagents (e.g. neutralizing and detectionantibodies, genes, probes, and cytokine ELISAassay kits) to provide investigators with a solidfoundation on which to do cytokine research.
