Mrs. Roberts’ Monday LetterJanuary 22-25, 2019
I hope everyone enjoyed their day off. I know I sure did! We had fun celebrating the 100th day. I loved seeing all the creative things everyone was wearing.Just as a reminder, my door opens at 7:45am. Class starts at 8:00am. Those first 10-15 min of the day are very important. This is the time when students practice their reading fluency. There are several coats, backpacks, lunchboxes, & other items in our lost and found if your child is missing anything.Don’t forget to check your child’s folder nightly. Any papers that are in the page protector labeled “Important Papers” are yours to keep at home. These are not to be left in their folders.
*Just a reminder that the school offers after school care every day from 3:15-5:30p.m.
We are in the middle of flu season. In order to keep from spreading germs I recommend sending a water bottle for them to use instead of the water fountain.
TABLE TALK*We will be discussing character traits (loyal, calm, fearless, wise, humble, etc)*Have them tell you an action of a character from a book they bring home. Then have them list a character trait that goes with that action.*Please practice putting numbers in order from greatest to least & least to greatest (from 0-100). *Write numbers as tens & ones. (They need to identify that 47 is 4 tens & 7 ones).*Use <, >, & = to compare numerals.*Make up riddles to describe items around your house & see if anyone can guess what it is.*Discuss how the following
