Writing
Solve the word search
Write sentences including the words you found in your word search. Try to write at least 5 sentences.
Make your sentences as descriptive as possible.
What features of Y2 writing can you include?(Capital letters, full stops, question marks, commas in a list,
expanded noun phrases, adverbs, similes, co-ordinating conjunctions (and / but / so), subordinating conjunctions (when / if / that / because)

Reading
This week, we would like you to choose your favourite picture book to share with
the rest of Year 2.
Practise reading it aloud, read it to your family, your toys, your pets and anyone
else who will listen until you are an expert.
Once you have practised, send in a video of you reading the book (remembering to show the pictures too), to Mrs Hadabora – [email protected] and from next week, we
can share your book as the class story.

Tuned instruments allow you to make pitched notes. Some of you already play tuned instruments such as the piano or a guitar.
A xylophone is a tuned percussion instrument.

you have your own tuned instrument, like a piano or a recorder, you could try to play London’s Burning using the music.
