M-I SWACO have requirements for trainee Drilling Fluids
Specialists to join our expandingGerman operation. From the moment
you join MI SWACO you will under take an intensivetraining
programme that will see you attend an 8 week Basic Mud School
course at our globalheadquarters in Houston, Texas. Upon return you
will initially be mentored by an experienced
Drilling Fluids Specialist to develop the necessary knowledge of
best practices to perform theduties of a stand alone Drilling
Fluids Specialist 1.
As a Drilling Fluids Specialist 1, you will be responsible for
the execution of drilling fluidactivities at the well site in a
professional and organised manner. Supporting clients
drillingactivities at various sites (both on and offshore) you will
be required to determine clients fluidrequirements, establish
effective relationships with key rig site personnel and ensure all
dailyand post job reports are correctly completed and distributed
to the relevant personnel.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The maintenance of drilling fluid properties via chemical and
physical treatment as dictated
by the operator/mud programmeSupervision of all mud treatment
ensuring the correct use and maintenance of solids
controlequipment.Ensuring accurate chemical supply and consumption
records in addition to maintaining anadequate rig site chemical
inventoryEnsuring the maintenance of accurate offshore testing
equipment and chemical inventoriesEnsuring regular maintenance and
calibration of drilling fluid test equipmentThe provision of
complete, accurate and informative daily Drilling Fluid ReportsThe
provision of complete, accurate and informative well
summariesLiaising as required with onshore/offshore M-I SWACO
/operator personnel
Attendance at all company and operator organised safety
meetings
