These are fun Friday maths-related activities to do. You can do them on Friday or anytime you like.

3. Art Activity - Creating My Own Pattern
Materials needed: household items around the house (see below), a plain sheet of paper, poster paint or any type of paint suitable for art use. If you do not have any paint to hand, use crayons or markers or coloured pencils or pens to draw patterns on your sheet of paper in which way you like.
This week you have been doing lots of maths work on pattern. You can create your own pattern art by using things that you may have around the house e.g. empty toilet roll or kitchen roll holders, an old fork, a small potato cut in half, bubble wrap, an old toothbrush, a piece cut off a kitchen sponge.
Using a plain sheet of paper create your pattern art by dipping any of these items into a paper plate with some paint on it and pressing down to create patterns in lines. You can use your imagination to create whatever patterns you like! Have fun!
