WELCOME NEW YOUTH MINISTER
Hello! My name is Catherine Mares. I am originally from the south side of Des Moines. For the past six years, I have been living in the hills of West Virginia, working for the Diocesan Youth & Young Adult Office. My time in WV has entailed retreat ministry, summer camps, mission experiences (some may be familiar with Manus Christi), youth rallies, and a bunch of other random things that youth ministry brings. When I have free time, I enjoy hiking, biking, ‘attempting’ to play guitar, hammocking, and drinking good coffee.
I am so excited to begin working with the parishioners of St. Mary of Nazareth to continue and grow the strong youth ministry program that is already in place. For the young people reading this, I am praying for you! Please pray for me. I can't wait to meet you. Pax Christi, Catherine
One final thought from Fr. Greg
